I would assume Amazon would not allow any seller to knowingly sell an item that is unsafe. You would have to send a pair to a laboratory for analysis to completely verify if lead free. I have been using these for a long time without any ill effect, the glaze color does not come off or leave any strange taste even with acidic foods. I would contact the seller to verify if this item is tested for any lead content.

Q: Will these roll around or stay still when lying flat?

They stay still, but I keep the in a flat surface

Q: How hot is the heat when making the chopsticks??? Please advise, thank you.

I did not feel any heat when using with wontons, sticky rice or dumplings. ( all were right off of the stove) To be honest I use them Mostly for sushi which I eat once a week. 😊
