UPDATE: Going strong! So far so good!
2nd update: I got another 91 washes in (I was putting off refilling okay lol). But when I cracked the egg open, I could barely fit 1 bag in, let alone the recommended 3 every 70 washes. The little balls were of various sizes and I could see a difference between the very first set and the first refill surprisingly. Never noticed a difference in cleaning power, even being 20 washes late for a refill, but as stated above, I clearly had enough to not have to worry. About 95% of my washes are normal cycle, cold water, take egg out before throwing clothes in dryer, let it sit atop the washer to dry while dryer is going and then putting it back in the cabinet. Maintaining my 5 star review, no doubt about it!! Update: I have been keeping track of the number of washes and I've hit 72 now. The half of the egg on the left is the previous white pellets + the black ones, and the right side are the 3 new bags I'm putting in. They've shrunk down to about half of the original size, as stated in the instructions for when you'd need to refill them. I haven't noticed any difference in cleaning power over time, but maybe with the next load, we'll see! I'm normally washing my clothes in cold water, never forget to pull the egg out and accidentally have it in the dryer, and leave it atop my washer after the last load to dry. All in all, very satisfied with my results! I've had this product for a few months and do ~3-7 loads of laundry a month (singular person). I've been tallying each load that I've thrown the egg into, and I'm at 43 and the beads are definitely smaller but still there. I got the unscented version, and for the dryer I use wool balls (very occasionally scented with a few drops of essential oils), and my clothes come out smelling nice and clean every time. I haven't noticed any difference in cleaning power from when I was using name brand liquid detergent, or really any other difference. So I like that I'm using a more eco friendly option, much easier to transport when moving, easier to just throw into the washer and be done. I'll continue to update with where I'm at in the tallies, but it might be a few years before I can get through all 720 promised loads hahaha

Works amazing and saves so much money!!
LOVE. This has helped us save so much money. We are still using the beads from our initial purchase over a year ago. Cleans clothes great. Stains does need extra attention as it doesn’t get hard stains out but most don’t.

You'd be an EGG head Not to use !!
Love my Egg!!! This is a secret that laundry soap companies do not want out! Simply amazing! The product comes nicely packaged with full instructions and all the beads needed for approximately 700 washes. Once I figured out how to get the egg open (between it's oval size and my weak hands, it was a bit of a struggle) I filled the egg as instructed and was off to do my first load. It sure felt strange to just put the egg in washer, throw my items in, close the door and hit wash! My clothes came out clean and had a freash smell to them. You can use the egg with delicates. Instructions tell you to put fine hosiery and lingerie in a washing bag. The egg is also safe for use in HE (high-efficiency) washers. I've washed all types of clothes in hot and cold water and everything comes clean. I'm sold!!! This is well worth the price to get started and will make up its cost in no time by not buying laundry soap. You can continue to use bleach and softners with the egg, as needed.

Pleasantly Surprised
I bought this to try it out, with not very high hopes. I was pleasantly surprised after the first 5 loads went through. My clothes are clean and don't have a "smell" to them that I was worried about. No, it does not smell like the Tide I typically used, but they still smell clean. This is not meant for heavily soiled clothes though; in a house with 4 males, heavily soiled clothes is common. I use this for my towels, sheets, delicates, baby clothes (that are semi-clean), and my (mom) clothes. Saving money every time I do a load and don't have to use Tide or fabric softener. Highly recommend for individuals that are gentle on their clothes.

I have been using EcoEgg for more that 14 years and In that time I have never been disappointed. I have literally spent less that $300 on detergent in all that time. They really do last forever. They are also brilliant for people with sensitive skin. My only complaint is that they are not as easy to get as they once where and that you can't get the fabric softener any more.
