Primal Pit Paste, Deodorant Stick Orange Creamsicle Natural, 2 Ounce

This deodorant works far and away better (like, in a whole different universe) than anything I've tried before (and I have tried soooooo many natural deodorants - way more than I care to admit). I didn't think it was possible that a deodorant could work this well. I am a lifetime customer of PPP/PF from here on out. I can apply this in the morning after a shower and then go do an intense workout and sweat a LOT and there is NO ODOR. Doesn't discolor my clothes. Doesn't leave a residue. I have even gone & taken a dance class & NOT changed my shirt afterwards, worn that same shirt for the rest of the day, and upon removing my shirt at the day's end, it DOES NOT SMELL! Neither my pits nor my clothes. It's NUTS! I know bodies are different - body chemistries vary widely. So this might not match your body as well as mine, but give it a try because it might save your deodorant life too!

I gave up aluminum based antiperspirants many years ago and have struggled to find a natural deodorant that actually worked but didn’t irritate my reactive skin, to no avail....until I found Primal Pit Paste. This product not only keeps me odor-free but keeps me dry as well, something no other natural deodorant ever did. Other products I’ve used would, at best, barely mask my body odor even with multiple daily application but this product works all day and all night with only a single application. I haven’t once detected any BO since I started using it, even after an intense gym workout; it’s truly changed my life in that regard. As I’ve not used antiperspirants in many years, I didn’t experience any of the purging rash others have, but I did find that the lavender would sometimes make my underarms slightly irritated if I reapplied it during the day, however, the orange creamsicle hasn’t given me any irritation whatsoever. The scents I’ve tried, orange creamsicle, lavender and lavender vanilla aren’t anything to write home about but the aren’t unpleasant in my opinion. I am thrilled to have found this stuff, I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

I was so excited to try this. I've been using a natural deodorant paste that has been very effective but I didn't like that every morning after showering I'd have to stir that paste because of separation. I'd have to spend quit a bit of time stirring! So, I read lots of great reviews of the Primal Pit Paste stick. The only negative review that I repeatedly saw was that a specific sent smelled like an organic substance legal in very few states. I thought I was safe getting the orange scent. The first day I was so very impressed! After I showered, I applied. The smell was light and the deodorant worked through my long shift as a nurse. (BTW... I live in the deep South and it's beyond hot right now.) The next morning, same process. Shower then apply. End of the day, not too bad. Next day: same process but I thought the scent of the stick itself was fading rather quickly. On the 5th day of use, I showered as usual, opened the container and noticed that the stick itself smelled like B.O.! Not sure why it no longer smells like orange. Only thing I can think of is that, even though I've only applied after taking a shower and that I do a pit detox 2-3 times per week, some of the ingredients do NOT mix with my personal chemistry. So very disappointed! Guess I'll go back to the paste that I have to stir every morning.

I really do love this product. It is an all natural deodorant, with a pleasant smell, and it works. Here is the think, it gunks up on the outside of the tube and in the threads of the twist cap. Also, it broke off while there was still a good portion remaining...so if I used it thereafter, I had to spread it with my fingers. Some natural deodorants are intended to be applied with the fingers---but it is not how this was intended nor is it to my taste.

Before buying this, I tried Kiss My Face and Nature's Gate (other aluminum free deodorants) and they both did a lousy job. It's day 1 with Pit Paste, it's been 9 hours since I applied it and not a hint of BO! I'm hooked. No need to try any other brand. I like the Orange Creamsicle scent. It's very light scent.Edited: I had to take it down a star due to excessive issue with the skin all around the arm pit (arms, sides) getting pimples. I rarely ever get pimples anywhere before using this product. Back on the search for aluminum non-pore clogging deodorant!

I've struggled with some natural deodorants since I made the switch. I'd still get irritation using them. I always thought it was the baking soda....but not any more! For the ones I was using, I realized the other common ingredient was lavender essential oil (and I can't wear lemongrass...I'm allergic to grass!). Primal Pit Paste's unscented and Creamsicle deodorants are both fantastic. Using Creamsicle for 2 months now and no more irritation at all (it wasn't the baking soda). And for me...they work all day. The Creamsicle smells great, but isn't overwhelming when you're wearing it...incredibly subtle. If I change clothes I may touch up only as a precaution. I use them when I run as well -- you still sweat, for me the odor is managed and I am a heavy sweater when I work out. I only wish Primal Pit Paste made a tea tree oil one in a stick...then I'd be all set!

Love the smell, I read some of the reviews and saw that a lot of people did have reactions to it. I have been using for a little over a week now, and I have pretty sensitive skin and this stuff didn’t break me out. The reason I I’m giving it 4 stars is because it doesn’t seem to last. I’m not really a sweaty person, but it seems to wear off about 4 hours into the day. So you definitely need to reapply throughout the day.
