These work almost better than the factory,easy installation and very affordable.

Simply perfect. Pull up a little on trunk and get out of the way, these pistons take over! Install in 10 minutes (slide off old top by taking off existing snap ring, pry off old bottom (maybe loosen band a little), push on new bottom, slide new top on and push on snap ring).

Installed this on a BMW E39 and it fits, the best way to install it because some might have a hard time installing it, is to start from the bottom by moving the retaining clip upwards with a flat head screw driver, start from the bottom where the retaining clip is and secure it on the mounting point on bottom, making sure its secured, lower the trunk and install shock top part and secure the top part with a ring clip and thats it.

Good Shocks the exact fit

Bottom ball socket interferes with body of vehicle such that the product is worthless. If you really try to force they may fit, however OEM stabilus struts are readily available and install effortlessly and return the trunk operation to factory condition. Don’t buy these and expect to be able to install them in 10min like a bad@ss

.....had to push the lid back slightly to get it to fit, but once snapped in, the action was flawless. It's a good product.

Struts (2 identical for both left and right side) were well packaged and received ontime. Looked well made. Surprised that the strut length can be adjusted by turning the loop on the tube end. The default (shortest) length fits a 2000 BMW 540i well. It's important to note the orientation of the old struts before removing, otherwise interference may prevent the trunk from closing completely. For installation, it's easier to attach the shaft end first before attaching the tube end since the tube end is easier to grab and provides better leverage. These struts are strong and support the trunk securely. Not sure about the longevity but these struts present a good cost effective replacement option.

They were reasonably priced, arrived quickly and I installed them the same day I got them. Would definitely recommend them and would certainly buy them again.

Easy to install and VERY strong! Once you pass a certain point, the trunk lid on my e39 swings open really quick. Hopefully doesn't damage anything.
