Starwest BotanicalsOrganic Herbs De Provence

Yes, this comes in one of those big foil pouches - looks like a small pillow when you get it. Have gotten camomile and italian seasoning so far. Why? i just got tired of looking for tea bags (camomile) and buying little jars of seasoning that i found hard to throw away after.. and when i find a mix i liked i'd use it on everything..and those little bottles pile up... So.. i remembered buying herbs de provence ages ago, and thought, ya why not..INGREDIENTS: organic everything ~ basil, rosemary, thyme, parsley, marjoram, lavender, tarragon..SALT FREEwhich means i can use my super duper celtic sea salt.. and adjust both to taste.So now i go berserk and put both the italian seasoning and the herbs de provence in my slow cooker concoctions (plus a shot of hot sauce and the salt and whatever else).... sooooo good.I rather love the abundance feeling of having bags of these - just stored in pantry/cupboard, spices last ages, simply ages.. so yummy too (i don't remember the old herbs de provence i tried years ago tasting this good.. hmm).. love starwest stuff they have more stuff on their site, but i opted for getting here with all the bargoons and fast shipping.. best of both worlds. okay i shut up now bon appetit :)

This is horrible...it is not even close to herbs de provence...wheres the lavender...? Smelled like oragano more than anything else...The herbs were ground so fine that it was like putting dirt on a whole chix...I stopped once I felt the texture. The herbs should not be finely ground. You should be able to pour them in your hand and crushed them as they are applied...thereby releasing the perfumes...

I used it for all my broths, roast, any meat/fish dish. Love it. Fragrant and fresh, and best of all organic.
