Fat Infrared heat helps immensely. Vibrate, not so much
The media could not be loaded. The ISLAND OF STARS Rechargeable, Cordless, Graphene, Far-Infrared Heated, Vibration Knee Massager Brace for Pain and Pressure Relief, Arthritis Therapy with 15 Relaxing Combinations (Set of 2) works great. The braces arrive with instructions and two each 45” long USB charging cords. The braces need to be recharged every two months minimum to maintain battery life, even when not in use. The LED flashes green when battery life is low so you’ll know they need a recharge. Once they have a full charge, the LED stays solid green. Charging should not exceed 5 hours. There’s a screen lock button to avoid changing settings accidentally while in use. When screen lock is activated, the LED stays solid red. We haven’t figured out exactly how long it takes to drain the battery. We have used them more than 2.5 hours in total and still have not needed a recharge.Washing is not recommended. Instead, instructions advise cleaning them with rubbing alcohol to remove odors and stains then wipe down with a damp cloth. The heat feels great. The far infrared gives highly noticeable pain relief to my husband who has a torn meniscus in both knees. The massage function is vibration by way of two separate balls that are stationary and located in the outside of each side of the knee caps. Vibration actually caused irritation leading to more pain afterwards. So we aren’t a fan of the vibration but the heat and far infrared works amazingly well. The braces are conveniently portable and can be used on the move, though they are a tad bulky due to the control pad attached at the top, just above the knee. Its roughly 4” wide and 2” thick. You aren’t tethered to a power outlet since these are rechargeable and then cordless in use. It would be possible to actually wear these under pants that are fairly baggy in the knee area, should you want to use them while moving about doing things. Or, it would appear based on product listing photos, these can also be used over clothing. We prefer skin contact for direct far infrared therapy. These braces are not designed for anyone with thick legs. They are 18” at the thigh connection and 16” at the calf connection. These are the largest circumferences they will fit. The points to measure are literally 5” above the knee cap center point for the thigh fit and about 4” below the knee cap center point for the calf fit. You might also invest in some additional velcro pieces that could be used as a home-made strap extension.Overall, a great investment for some heated far infrared therapy and vibration (if you enjoy that part).

Smaller size vibration massagers for kneecaps
I think if you have knee pain confined mainly to your kneecap area, this might be a perfect device for you. It does not really extend beyond the general kneecap area, however, so it doesn't provide heat or massage to the sides of your knee or above or below the knee. It's a small area.I love the cordless feature, and it's much easier to do two knees at once than have to switch knees halfway through, so having a PAIR of the massagers is great. I'm a small person, and to my surprise, the Velcro straps on the massagers aren't likely to accommodate a much larger person than I am. For reference, I'm 5'1" and 135 pounds, but I do have thick little legs. The manufacturer lists the max circumference for both the thigh and calf area, so I would check that carefully. Normally I don't even need to look at the max size, because I'm so small, but this product is designed SMALL.Otherwise, the straps are easy to use. The wraps overall aren't really "shaped" for the knee; you have to fold the material around and strap it as closely as you can to make it have contact with the body. It's really just flat shapes. The massage motors are two lumps that sit right over the kneecap. They vibrate at three different intensities, which feels like a pleasant, but ticklish massage. It's gentle enough not to damage anything delicate, but it doesn't provide any compression or really intense massage.I do like the heat function. It heats up VERY quickly and it's noticeable relief. I do wish the heat covered a larger area; again, this is really just for the kneecap area. Inside the wrap is a mesh pocket that you could fit a cold pack into for cold therapy.Overall, the product is well-made and works. It comes with a USB charger and a user's manual. The current price of $56 seems fair for the set of two.

Works well
This massager works great! Different settings to find exactly what you need. Easy to use. Quality seems pretty good and seems like it should hold up well. Overall i am pleased with this unit and i would highly recommend it. Good power and really helps get destressed and deal with knee pain. Pretty good value for the price.

They're OK but not great. I'm not impressed.
Reviewing: "Rechargeable Cordless Graphene Far-Infrared Heated Vibration Knee Massager Brace for Pain and Pressure Relief, Arthritis Therapy, 15 Relaxing Combinations – Set of 2"These massagers are like knee pads with a controller box on one side and two vibrating balls that rest on or just under the knee cap. The description says 15 combinations, which is mathematically possible, but in reality what you have is a heat setting (Low, Med, High) and a pulsating vibrate setting (Low, Med, High).IMO, they don't fit well enough to really provide much relief. The photo shows/portrays that you can get a knee massage while walking/working, but in order to get any relief at all, I needed to be sitting with my knee bent. Once I stood up, it felt more like I was wearing a knee brace that didn't fit right. In order to work, the massage unit needs to be pressed close to the knee. Once I stood up, it didn't hug my knee tight enough anymore, even after I adjusted it. The straps are also not very easy to adjust. The vibrate setting isn't steady, but rather it pulsates on and off. The speed setting only controls how fast it pulses. The heat feature feels good, but my leg and knee got really sweaty after a short time, which wasn't comfortable.I received these for free in exchange for a review and after having tried them, my opinion is that I wouldn't order them again. I would recommend checking to be sure they are returnable beforehand, because some health products aren't, and these are not inexpensive.
