Okay, this is hands down the best thing you can have in your house if you have animals (especially a bird like me) cause it only takes one fly, then you have hundreds. I bought this thing, and went on a rampage. I legit didnt charge it first cause I was ready to go. It came at half battery. I dont leave this one on unless its on the charger, but ive been using daily, for spiders, random lingering flies, for legit a month, and it JUST DIED. I'm writing this cause I just realized how long this battery has survived on half, and I have not been gentle with this thing, as to be expected when you're angrily killing insects. And its still going.Product Enhancement Recommendation:To the creators of this, the one thing I would change is the clear plastic spacers used. I cant be gentle with flies moving 100mph haha. If you were to use a thick wire coated to prevent the electricity transferring, then we can just bend it gently back after we have to violently end an insect haha. The plastic currently with no inner frame to it, just snaps with a tap. It doesnt stop it from working, but the reviews of it catching on fire or melting, is because the spacers are failing and the metal is touching. I had it happen too, but I dont leave it unattended and I know to bend the metal away from each other. But this could be fixed to be safer and reliable! :) otherwise, great product :)

First: buy this. It’s amazing.I have owned these types of rackets for nearly 20 years and this one is far far better than the yellow kind.First they recharge so that’s a big plus. But even absent that advantage the power of these things is simply amazing. It evaporates bugs quickly leaving nothing behind like the yellow ones. I don’t know the voltage difference (or whatever the metric is) but dang these things ZAP!I haven’t really tried the mode where it stands alone and is always on — we have cats and I don’t trust them now to zap themselves. :)Great product. I’ve used an electric fly swatter before, but this time I chose one based on customer reviews, and I’m glad I did. This swatter is excellent.I had a bad problem with either fruit flies or drain flies, which were extremely annoying. I tried sticky tape and window plastic, but neither worked. I even bought flying insect spray, which helped a bit but didn’t completely solve the issue.When I first used the swatter, I felt like a kid with a new toy. After charging it, I came out swinging, and the satisfying ZZZ sound of the flies getting zapped was thrilling. I didn’t find any carcasses, but I did see black specks on the floor. It worked wonders!I definitely recommend this product!

A little bit heavier, but oh so much better than the zap it. I needed to replace a set of zap its, so decided to try these. My husband was less than impressed by the change until he used one on our evening walk. We live in the Adirondack mountains, these worked on the black flies, mosquitoes, no-see-ums and deer flies. I highly recommend!

I love it! It's basically a fly taser. For fruit flies its lethal on contact. My kiddos where scare of the noise at first, but now they use it without fear. At night when we hear the noise we just called out "we got customers" Lol. And it also serve as a night light. I highly recommended.

Very happy with the purchase. I like that they have two modes - one you can wave around to zap the flies, and the other you can leave on the stand and a purple light turns one to attract them. And both come with charging cables! Plus, they come with an easy to setup 5 year warranty!

This works like a charm and I especially liked the long stretched on/off button that is on the front of the handle and not a small button on the side like the others have. This way, when I want to grab it quickly to swat I can keep my eyes on the "target" and blindly activate the swatter.
