Costs a lot, runs hot but has incredible performance for gaming
I recently upgraded to this processor from my 3600x because I wanted to future proof my motherboard for a few more years. This processor is incredible for gaming (it even beats the 5950x!!) and the 3D-V Cache is really useful in intensive rendering scenes (keeps those fps drops to a minimum). I got a performance boost of around 20% in 1440p resolution where CPU differences are minimum so I can only imagine the gains at 1080p.That said, this processor comes with two major downsides:1 - It costs a LOT. I paid about 42k which is a huge amount for a processor and I probably would never have bought this if I was building a new rig since that money is better spent on your GPU.2 - It runs HOT. I have an amazing 360mm cooler which used to keep my 3600x under 70°C even at full load but the 5800x3D hovers around 80°C to 85°C under full load.So get this product only if you want the FPS gains without upgrading your GPU/Motherboard and have the cooling capability in your rig (360mm cooler or liquid cooling). Additionally, if you are using your computer for workloads other than gaming, this processor is pretty bad value for money.
