This is chock full of relatable examples that are specifically geared towards Contractors and gives us a roadmap of assessing where our companies are at and how to get where we want to go. Great inspiration and plan of success

Great book just needs a bit of up-dating
Like many of the E-myth series the basic premise is that business owners don't really understand all the intricacies of running a small business. Most people are responding to technical skills coupled with an entrepreneurial spasm and launch themselves into their new endeavour and then wonder why they struggle. The E-myth for contractors delves into reasons that many contractors get caught in the 'working harder and enjoying their business less' syndrome. The book is concise and well written and defines the issues well, but it doesn't put as much effort into the solution as it does the problem. Perhaps the better book for presenting a solution is E-Myth Mastery, which is comprehensive and built in a step by step fashion. So give this book a quick read and get inspired and then give mastery a try to build a stronger business.

im using it in conjunction with AI
Im starting a company on Friday that I’ve been working on for about 90 days. Testing at the state level in Montana, Colorado,Texas, and Florida. It’s been a blessing to read the pages and then have ai help me decide what I want to use and how I want to say and use it. I’m building a $10 million dollar company and I’ve started with The e-myth as one of my tools to help make sure I’m not doing-the-doing…forever.

This and e-myth revisited are my #1 business books
A lot of books like this make a lot of claims about their benefits but Only give vague, general concepts and talk more about what the book can do for you rather than how the book can help you actualize its claims. This lays out simple step by step plans. Not a bunch of fluff and filler it’s straight to the point. It can tell you a lot of what you should know in just 100 pages so you can learn what you need to in a day or two. It’s an actual cheat sheet but not to “get rich quick” it outlines how to work towards a great company but doesn’t give allusions that you can do it without putting in thoughtful work or over night

A Great Book for Entrepreneurs.
Easy to read, understand and implement. Enlightening in the way the author knows all the fears, doubts and traps that affect us contractors and showing an easy way to apply concepts and gain freedom from the shackles of our business.

loved E myth. This was scattered.
It's definitely worth a skim. I will read it again and take note of the good stuff. Initial read through felt like he was adding fluff to hit a word count.

Good but not necessarily great
I enjoyed the original E-Myth very much, though it was painful too as I recognised all my own mistakes in business over the years. I found this particular volume just a tad too new-age in places for my own liking. It is also, like so many small (the book, that is) business-help books, a little on the glib side, making the issues out to be rather easy to solve whereas entrepreneurship is somewhat more challenging in reality, and not quite as formulaic as the author might have us believe. But there's still a lot of truth in it too, and it is easily read, with some good lessons to take from it. Certainly worth both the purchase price and the time it takes to read.
