Aube by Honeywell Outdoor Plug-in Timer with Temperature Sensor and photocell Modes (TI062)

This unit is constructed very well and is easy enough to program with the instructions in hand. The guide comes in English, French and Spanish. Pay careful attention to all sections of the product description as the temperature threshold feature is only for cold weather applications. Unfortunately we did not see this important point before buying, and were hoping to set it up in our attic with a fan plugged in to it... But no matter, we will just use the timed on-off feature instead covering sunlight hours and that will work, too. Per the user manual that comes with the item: "Caution: do not use the timer for temperature control applications." Would need to hear more about this and why...

To hard to program no real memory, if you unplug start over

I use this to run my block heater on my diesel truck during cold weather and this thing is great. The various ways you can program it to come on and turn off make setting it up for your situation and preferences easy. Saves you soo much money compared to just plugging the truck straight in and having the block heater on from the time I get home till the time I leave the next day now it just comes on for a couple hours before I leave for work

I needed an indoor light timer that would control the Christmas tree lights and after looking at many reviews, I selected this model. It is a digital timer, which I wanted, instead of a mechanical one. This means I can program it much more accurately and it makes no noise. But it wasn't a complex timer so it would be easy to set up. Sure enough, when it arrived, I was able to set it up right out of the box within just a couple of minutes without needed to even look at the directions. If you've ever set a digital alarm clock, you should be able to use this timer without any trouble. The setup is easy and intuitive. It works perfect and has the lights turning on and off at exactly the designated time each night.

I've only used it a few time, but so far it seems to work just as described. I live in Fairbanks Alaska and I got this for the block heater for the car. It work when it got down to -33 F. The display was a bit messed up when it got that cold but once it warmed up again it was fine; I don't expect any LCD screen to work at temperatures that low anyway. It would be nice if the temperature settings were for lower temperatures, but using timer works great and will help us save some money this winter.

The Aube timer which incorporates a photocell switch has simplified my life.Most timers waste electricity and my time, moving the trip levers as the sunrise and sunset changes with the season..The Aube allowed me to set the outside lights "ON" at 6:00 AM and "OFF" at 10:00 PM and the photocell prevents a waste of electricity during the variable daylight hours.Durability is unknown at this time. The timer is outdoors on the east side of the building exposed to snow, rain and temperatures of 28 to 103 F during the year.

I've been using this about a year now, going into my second winter in wi. I use this as a timer for setting my chicken light on in my small coup ( a plastic kids playhouse) I have it set to click on when it reaches 21 degrees. (It raises the temperature roughly about 10 degrees in the house, and keeps the bowl of water from freezing) You can also set it by time if you want, but I haven't used it for that. It looks well made, and I haven't had any problems with it, even in the 45 degree below weather!

I’ve used this timer outside for over 10 years now.Even in the dead of winter with Christmas lights.It is the best timer I’ve ever had.Hands down.

Would have great to have conditional programming (if tmp below<xxC AND between 5 to 8AM for instance)

Fonctionne très bien(utilisé en été seulement). Matériau de qualité, robuste, Programmation facile. Répond à 99% pour mon besoin. Un seul point à améliorer sur la minuterie serait d'intégrer la fonctionnalité d'opération avec la longitude et latitude qui s'ajuste automatiquement selon le lever et le coucher du soleil qui est déjà présente sur d'autre minuterie murale Honeywell ou Aube. Si vous utiliser la minuterie à l'extérieure et avec aucun encombrement à la minuterie, la cellule photo-électrique fonctionne avec le niveau de clarté du jour et de la nuit(soleil).
