Tri-Arc KDSR106162 6-Step Steel Rolling Industrial and Warehouse Ladder with Handrails and 16" Wide Grip-Strut Tread

My husband and I have reached the age where ladders are scary. Having side rails and wide steps, and a platform are pretty much non-optional now for places with high shelves, vaulted ceilings, and smoke alarms in awkward places. This ladder meets all requirements. Assembly wasn’t difficult, and the product is sturdy. Wheel/leg operation works well. The ladder is easily moved, but as the supporting legs come down when weight is placed on the steps, it doesn’t roll around during use. There are four solid rubber tipped feet on the ground.The only drawback is that it takes up a lot of space when assembled, and there is no easy way to mitigate that. It also is significantly wider than an ordinary household ladder, so access through narrow doors would likely be impossible.

This ladder feels like it is very high quality and sturdy. I feel safe climbing up on it. I am 460 pounds and I feel confident using it. I took off one star for "Easy to assemble". There are several areas in the instructions that could have been more clear as it took a fair amount of analysis and logic on my part to discern the correct procedure. I did appreciate that it was largely put together when it arrived. There wasn't much left for me to do.

Product was delivered very late, later than what had been specified. When I finally received the product, it was missing parts. When I called the manufacturer (which is suggested by Amazon if you have a problem with the product) I was told by a company rep that the parts would be shipped by a certain date, in which I never received the parts, so I had to call the rep several more times to obtain the parts. When I finally received the parts they were the wrong parts. Had to call rep again on several more attempts. Finally received the parts a month after receiving the product. Would not recommend ordering any products from this company. I had also ordered a 7-step ladder through U-Line directly the same time I ordered this product through Amazon and not only did we receive the product on time, it also had missing parts which the company sent the parts immediately...we received them the very next day. You might pay a little more, but well worth the extra!!!!

This ladder is very well made and sturdy. No problem to put together and setup by myself. This is going to make my life so much easier working up high on the motorhome! Free delivery was amazing for something as huge and heavy as this! What a great value!

My husband is 82 & I'm disabled & our ceilings (& some shelving) are very high & this proves to be PERFECT for changing bulbs or getting things off shelves safely..! I did not have a utllity room to store it in so I parked it in the corner of our sitting room & put silk ivey plants on the steps & it looks great!! It is obvious what it is but it doesn't look bad at all with the plants sitting on it! Just a little eye candy ..! Well worth the safty & not having to call someone evey time a bulb blew out..! The ladder itself looks like it will work for where it is needed. The product had some dents and scratches when it was received though. Packaging/shipping was well below average.

My husband just turned 72. He is diabetic and the nerves in his feet have left him numb. He loses his balance from time to time, but still insist on climbing ladders to store things in the tall shelves in the garage. I saw a rolling ladder in a store and thought it would be perfect for him. Now he can reach the high shelves and even roll the ladder out of the garage to clean out the gutters or change the porch light. Now I don't worry about him. The hand rails make it easier for him the wide steps make it so much safer!
