Q: What stand works best for this guitar? I bought it as a gift, so pardon my lack of knowledge if this is a dumb question :)

You would probably do best with one you hang the guitar on.

Q: Does the white turn yellow over time? Does the black satin get glossy spots from playing? Trying to decide between the two.

I believe the white is polyurethane and that it does not change color. I haven't noticed the black satin getting glossy.
