Caught fire after 11 days of use! Luckily, in front of my eyes rather than while I was away from charger. The display stopped working (it never really showed the correct wattage anyhow), but it was off and I found it strange. After a few minutes it started hissing, fire and smoke came out. Trash.

Update 14 May 2022After returning the DoA cable, seller offered another to test, which arrived promptly.Tested on a mid-2015 MacBook using the Apple 28W USB C charger. The MacBook was already almost fully charged when plugged in, the display first showed close to 28W then stabled at 23W until fully charged which then showed 0W.Then tested on Kindle, iPad Pro and a 10,000mAh QI power bank, again all worked well and displayed Wattage when charing, 0W when fully charged.The displayed wattage seems to be fairly accurate, when charging iPhone 13 wirelessly on the QI power bank through PD , the cable displayed 7W, and when charing the Macbook, the cable displayed up to 28W then stabilised at 23W.However, when tested on a portable Air pump and e-cig, the cable failed to provide any power nor displayed anything. Also tried powering through various power source, the Apple charger, Samsung 35W charger as well as through the power bank, still no joy on the e-cig or portable air pump.Seemed to work selectively only on higher powered devices.Revised rating to 3 stars (pending long term reliability), credit for seller's customer services.Original review 9 May 22--Was really looking forward to use this cable with wattage display.Arrived shrink wrapped in box, looking nice with velcro cable ties.But the cable arrived defective, dead on arrival, no power, no LED display, nada.Returned.

Ok, so I bought 2 of these cables. In my phone which is a 15W charge they gave 0.6W. In my vape pens they were 0.5W which could be right. They were very hot to the touch though which should have given me a warning. I have a surge protection adapter and I bought a new 20W USB charger Plug. I was charging my vape pen just before going to bed but was still up reading. Then there was this terrible smell of burning and smoke coming out of the vape pen. Lucky i caught it in time as if i'd have gone to sleep god knows what would have happened. I have had the vape pen for about 3 years and never had an issue with it. It melted the charge port completely! I did try them in multiple plug sockets around the house as well before this happened and still crappy low charging so it's not the socket either. The reason for bying these is that I bought anotheer charge cable from a different company for Amazon which burnt out the charger port in my Motorolla phone. Gonna try a trusted make next time as I now have a dead phone and vape pen costing me a lot of money. It is not as if these are cheap cables either! Very angry...

I really like this cable, it charges my S20 Ultra with the rated power, it is plenty long at 2m and the best thing is that the display will shut down when no current is flowing through the cable. This is extremely important for the longevity of the display as I don't have e to worry if leave it plugged on the charger 24/7. I have a similar cable with a display (USB A to USB C) and I was very disappointed that the display wouldn't turn off when the charge was finished. This cable fixes that so I definitely recommend it.

You got to be very brave to push the too tight USB C connector in your delicate devices. It is too tight and requires a lot of force to push it in and pull it out. It may be technically alright but I do not feel comfortable in applying so much force on the delicate ports. I am not sure if I would want to keep it. The construction and functionality looks good otherwise.
