Amorvue 720p Security Ip Camera, Day&Night Vision WiFi Home Camera with Remote Viewing Indoor Pan/Tilt Baby Monitor Camera Plug & Play, 2-Way Audio (Single)

I bought this webcam to use for my dance studio. I wanted a wireless connection and the ability to live stream from the lobby and from parents' devices or browsers. I was able to have the camera set up, using the included instructions, in about 10-15 min. I then found out that I could type the IP address of the camera directly into any browser and it would play live from there. With my new password that I changed on the app, the camera is secured and I am able to share that link with my students' parents and anyone who is allowed to watch the class.As for the downside...I'm not completely disappointed, but it would have been nice to have the option of an internal battery that can be charged, rather than having to plug it in. However, that is very minor and I can live with that. It just limits the spots where I can place the camera, especially since it gives you a wall mount, but then you need the cord to reach an outlet, so I can't see myself using the mounting bracket in my studio.As for the setup...the first time I set it up was at home and it was easy least, no issues or errors at all. However, at the actual studio, I had a very difficult time connecting it to the WiFi. It took me close to an hour before it finally worked. I had to reset the device a few times, as well as the router, and move it closer to the router as well. This might have been a problem if there wasn't an outlet nearby, or if I needed the camera in a different part of the studio, which is a somewhat large building. However, in the end I did get it to work and I'm looking forward to using it on a regular basis. The app itself is quite thorough and straightforward. It is a very good price and I would be happy to purchase another one if I ever needed another IP camera.

The only reason for the 4 stars was the lack of information on this camera. I did get it running in about 2hours and really liked that the App (CamHI) went into the camera and found the IP address which made the setup work really good. I think I would be able to setup this Amorvue camera much faster with this experience in my brain cells. The App only allows you to see the picture in my phone as landscape. Not a big deal but a portrait view would be good.The picture is great and the movement really covers my front door and living room from top to bottom, side to side, and I can be gone to another location, city, state and still access this cam. There are lots of things you can do with the cam App but I havn't had time to experiment with all the options yet. I have had this now for about a week and so far it is working just great.Thank you, Bob

I bought this camera and another around $80. The cheap one pans a little slow although you can preset angles and move quickly. WIFI setup was a bust, but easy when the camera was plugged into the network with the supplied cable. Picture quality was similar on both (as far as one can tell on a phone) and both send alerts on motion detection. although it might be wise to put one of those USB backup batteries between the camera and wall plug to cover power failure and be sure your modem and router are plugged into a UPS. I am buying more of these.

When you get it to work, it works great. The night vision is actually pretty good.Problem for me was that it only worked for about a week and a half.The instructions to get it started are not very clear.The reset button on my camera doesn't even work.The camera now just resets itself every 10 seconds but won't put out the sound required to reset with the app.It also feels like a children's toy. It is put together with very cheap plastic and feels like it will fall apart at any time.

Love that I can watch wherever it’s pointed to while I’m home but it uses it internet connection and if that goes out you can use it. It said I would be able to hear and talk through to the other side and I am not able to do that but it’s a nice basic video monitor

Bought for a friend. She likes it. Says she can see it on her phone even when she's at work and dad is home with the baby!😂

Everything about the camera so far is great. Easy set up, user friendly app interface. My only issue is I can't get the picture back to color. I don't know how I set it to black and white, but I can't get it back to normal. Any ideas?

Gave this camera as a gift and it works amazing so far! Setup and directions were easy and only took a couple minutes. Took a little online search to figure out how to setup email but other than that it works great. Would definitely recommend!
