8mm super rigid and easy to work
I bought this thicker 8mm plate for an auxilliary fence on a miter saw because I thought some extra thickness might be needed for rigidity. This G10 black is very dense as expected (heavy) and very rigid. I probably could have used 6mm and been fine even with recesses for mounting screw heads.I've worked a lot with cutting and sanding all types of phenolic sheet and the standard green/tan G10 material as well as carbon fiber plate. I expected this to be hard on tools and difficult to work with after primary cuts but it really worked like a breeze, just as easy as any phenolic. You will get some fiberglass itchies if you aren't careful but the cut edges on the material itself are clean and without any fuzzing or chipping. This was true for me with an aluminum cutting circular saw blade (-5° TCG) as well as a little carbide grit abrasive wheel on the DeWalt 3" cutoff tool - it even routed extremely clean with roundover bits and a flush trim bit. A decent HSS Freud forstner bit did four shallow holes/recesses and didn't seem any worse for the wear but I was expecting it to be trashed. This is definitely more abrasive and harder on tools than other plain plastics and resin composites but not as bad as carbon or as bad as I expected it to be.I think the black might have some graphite in it but I'm not sure. The chips/flakes were light and flexible just like what comes off of nylon and some plastics. The saw/sanding dust was just very fine powder like phenolics.Do wear eye and breathing protection because these particles can be quite dangerous if you work with it much, and skin protection is highly advised unless you like the itchies.Good stuff and I will buy this again. I wish they had some other precut options like strips/bars. By the way, all edges were very flat and smooth, all corners darn close to perfect 90°, sharp crisp edges...nice.

Great Base Plate
Works great. Prints pop off very easily once cooled. Also, the base layer is much smoother.

Tough as nails
Good product, very sturdy

Perfect for PLA
The prints come off easily after the sheet cools down, with some resistance but not even close to the same level as my stock Ender 3 bed. Spotless after 2 prints.

Confirmed - build surface for Ender 5.
This sheet will not magically fix a wobbly, un-level, or warped printer bed (all standard features of the Ender 5 as it was shipped).Printing bed supports, changing from springs to silicone support spacers, shimming the low spot with a piece of foil tape, and then manually tramming the bed made the standard magnetic surface work great with PLA+ / Pro. This plate was still a bit finicky on some prints, but good.On my Ender 5, the CR touch was a total disaster, but switching to a silent board and new Marlin software turned out to be a real winner. After tramming the build plate manually, and adjusting the limit switch for Z axis, the build plate has not required leveling after many prints. This G10 sheet is a strong contributor to that success - it is very repeatable and stable. For me, a nice coating of water soluble hair spray, dried in the oven with its "dehydrate" setting was the final touch. If a print is a bit stubborn, some water makes it fall off. A coat of hairspray lasts several prints. With the small improvements in my lowly Ender 5, and this build surface, printing is reliable and good with no elephant foot.A very worthwhile upgrade for sure, but no substitute for the basics.

Not too bad, a little soft compared to some of my other fr4
Pretty decent, works fine as a build plate on a printer. the thickness keeps it from warping up much under shrinking abs/nylon prints. It is a little soft compared to my natural colored fr4, a bit easier to dent, and if your first layer height is low it will mark a bit where the print was. Has held up well to use with TAP probing though. Adhesion was an issue at first even with a sanding, scrubbing at it with an alcohol soaked microfiber until it came back clean fixed that, and has been fine since with just a quick wipe before a print. Overall satisfied.
