Fish Maw is an excellent source of collagen. How to Prepare 1. Soak fish maws with cool water until soften. Usually, this process takes one day. For bigger fish maws, it may require more time. 2. Once soften, cut open the fish maw like butterfly shape. Clean thoroughly. 3. Bring a pot of water to boil. Put some ginger or scallion to remove raw fish smell) Put fish maw in boiling water for approx. 3 minutes 4. During boiling stage, it is normal to see the fish oil coming off from fish maws. 5. Remove fish maw from boiling water, and submerge to cool water. Now fish maws are ready to be used for cooking or they can be stored in freezer for future use.
