PWM motor speed controller ( DC brush motor only )
Brush motor speed controller.This pwm controller was used to control the speed of a DC motor in my air conditioner. I am using solar panels to generate the power. The efficiency and wide operating range of this device was a perfect fit for this application.

Case was beat to heck, circuit board seems to work fine
Reviewing RioRand 7-70V PWM DC Motor Speed Controller Switch 30A ($14.24)Unit arrived with metal case dented and warped. Removed ti from the case out of concern it would short bottom electrical connection. So not very physically rugged.Bench testing with a 12V 10A motor. Controller works well: at 0%, 50%, and 100% there was no easily detectable heat. Smooth ramp with no hiccups from 0-100%. There is no soft start, so if you turn it on there *will* be a current surge and your motor will jump.The speed control pot is a major pain to remove - not enough space in the case to back it out without running into other components - and the extension wire is pretty short. The on/off switch is mounted to the board, so you will need to desolder it and wire your own extension if you want that control accessible in e.g. a case.

Don't buy for kids electric ride on toys
Tried using as a voltage regulator for the kids peg pegero john deer electric tractor. It lasted about 10 minutes and melted the tractor wiring. I set the output voltage under load to 14 to 16 volts. I've ran 18v in the past. Suggest sticking with a regular 12v regulator for longevity. The knob is extremely too sensitive for this application. The speed controller however was not at fault.

Speed controller is not working.
The speed controller is not working. This is the third one I've purchased and the only one I've had any issues with. I used the previous two to test the issue and they worked fine. Based on another recent review on 3/5/25, I hope this issue can be resolved soon because it almost cost us Ride on Car and caused melted wires.

So fast and power ful
Works well with all the kids cars I put it to but I don't know what happen to the smaller voltage one . I think it might have blew the circuit but when I used it for the 12 o man the car is so fast and my kids love it. Very good option for making your kids car fast or making old ones fun again
