Great flavor, easily eaten while riding.
The gel has a great peanut butter/banana flavor, and is easily digestible with some water. Kept me going through a very hilly 70 mile charity ride - never came close to bonking. Highly recommended.

Great tasting energy mix
I'm incredibly happy I tried one of these energy packets. For years now I've relied on Gu, and while I never really had much to complain about, I wouldn't say I really enjoyed them. Plus, they didn't really make a lot of sense with the rest of my diet. These Spring packs, and especially the Long Haul flavor, are (1) tasty, (2) comprised of ingredients I prefer, and (3) effective for a long run/ride. I haven't tried following the different packs for different challenges suggested, but I'm usually just a one pack/hour kind of guy anyway. Only potential drawback might be that there's no caffeine, but that's easy enough to find with a stick of caffeine gum if that's what you're looking for.

Clean energy
I really like these gels, all natural and they taste great. The mango is my favorite, but I have all of them just to be able to mix it up. I don't get an upset stomach with these. I take 2 paks with me on long runs and I feel great during my runs. They taste even better if you freeze them and by the time you eat it, it's a yummy cold slushy. Thanks to coach Sage Canaday for introducing me to these.

tart, but effective
I've tried Gu, Clif and Cytomax for running fuels and they all give me GI distress. I was watching a youtube video on running fuel since I'm training for my first marathon and the guy recommended the Spring gels. I decided to try them and I'm glad I did. The taste is really tart, but I am getting used to it. And I've found that if I eat a little at a time instead of squeezing the whole thing in at once it's not as tart. But I do not get any GI issues from it. And I appreciate that it's all real foods, and not fully processed and filled with additives. I eat one per hour during my runs and it's all good.

Not the best
Bought these based on the peanut butter banana flavor (I am a peanut butter fiend) and purported ease on the gut. I'm trying to migrate away from Gu, which has caused me some stomach upset on longer runs. The other reviews of this product lead me to believe that I got a bad batch, since people like the flavor a lot. The flavor is not good - hints of peanut butter and banana but sour. After a few miles into a long run yesterday, I was cramping in my stomach and felt nauseous; currently it's day 2 and I still feel nauseous. Probably worse than any reaction I've had to Gu since I started "sipping."Edit: have used a few more times since my initial use, and stomach problems haven't recurred. Taste is still bad. Gu is a lot more flavorful, and there are palatable flavors (e.g., salted watermelon or mint chocolate are okay), but stomach upset is more prevalent. Huma is the best IMO; their mango flavor is the best energy gel I've had thus far, though a bit more expensive...

Best "goos" we've used for long runs...
These are the best goos we've used for long trail runs. They are a bit less calorie dense than other products (so they weigh a bit more and take up a bit more room per calorie), but worth it. No weird after taste that we've noticed and no stomach problems. They do have a chunkier texture than other goos. I don't mind it but wish I knew before I had a mouthful of it for the first time.

The most foul thing I ever put in my mouth
These are disgusting. I couldn't eat the whole thing even. They taste like overripe banana, kind of, with a tinge of peanut butter as an afterthought. I love peanut butter. I love bananas. This tastes so gross. Gels are generally kinda weird, but that's usually more of a consistency issue. These just taste awful. On the plus side, the half-a-gel I managed to get down felt good in my stomach, so if you have no taste buds, this might be acceptable fuel.

Whole food alternative to GU and endurance gels - delicious too
These nutrition pouches are fantastic! Taste great and whole foods based... Love the energy boost on long runs. No artificial sugar crashes either... Will def keep using these on my marathon events.
