Very nice small cutoff saw from DeWalt. Plenty of power for abrasive blade. Easy to handle. Did not notice vibration in use. Looks to be very durable.

Nice saw I purchased it for cutting 1 inch foam insulation sheets for my pole barn . It was hard to find a blade for ply wood [which would have worked best for my application].found some blades on Amazon that are carbide so they tend to heat and burn the wood and tends to kick back more on the syrifoam board .I have to lay a straight edge down on bead board to get a straight cut. I think it's mostly the blade that's causing the kick back.the saw comes with three blades and it works great for conduit.

I did a DIY kitchen backsplash tile installation recently. I borrowed a friend's wet saw and purchased this cut-off tool. I've found myself reaching for this more often than the wet-saw. This tool comes with a blade guard, but I find it difficult to see the blade path with the guard installed. Drawback is that cutting tile dry without a guard is extremely dusty. Face mask, glasses, hearing protection, etc. -- wear it all. I find it can make quicker cuts then a wet saw can and the results are just as clean. Spraying the tile with a water bottle before cutting helps somewhat with the dust as well; doing so doesn't seem to be "recommended", but seems to work just fine. The visibility issue with the guard installed is why I deducted a star from my review. The tool comes with various blades; I've used it for cutting metal Schluter tile trims and the tile itself. This is going to be a very useful tool for a variety of home improvement projects.

This little cutter is awesome 0 kickback. It shuts down before it will twist and snap the cutting disc. You just gotta let the tool do the work. One hand cuts are common and easy. Compared to a 4 inch grinder with no blade guard. It's balance is spot on even with a 6 ah battery. I doubt I'll ever use a 4 inch or 6 inch cut off wheel again. It blasted through a 1/4 steel plate with very little effort. Almost no vibration at the start and throughout the cut. Feels very safe. The DeWalt all metals disk it came with didn't do that great on 1/4 aluminum. It started plugging up the disk. Which is common w cutting aluminum. This thing would be perfect for using in the field. Cutting tops of posts.. whatever. Totally worth it. After using it once. I would pay double what I paid. It's that good.👍
