I purchased two of these 16-piece sets for a rental property, and I really love them! The glossy white finish gives them a clean, modern look that feels both classic and upscale. The sizes of the plates and bowls are well thought out—generous without being bulky—and I especially appreciate having two different bowl sizes, which adds versatility for guests.They have a nice weight to them—not too heavy, but substantial enough to feel durable and higher-end. I’ve only used them for a few weeks, but so far they've held up well through regular dishwasher cycles. I think they look more expensive than they are and elevate the table.Great for everyday use or casual entertaining—highly recommend for anyone outfitting a rental, first home, or simply looking for affordable, attractive dinnerware!

I was waiting to review until after using these a few times. 1 month in here are my thoughts:1) Shipping issues, which I expected after reading reviews. I ordered 3 sets and lost 3 full size plates, everything else was fine. The company just sent me a 4th set and everything came in perfect. Now I have extra bowls and small plates for when they do eventually chip or break.2) So far everything is holding up in the microwave, I do eventually expect things to break as time goes on, thus my purchase of extra dishes. In the dishwasher the dishes load really nice and come out clean and perfect every time.3) I have already chipped one plate, from hitting a bowl on the edge of a large plate. Only the plate chipped and is washing and still usable. Again I prepared for dish loss, it happens over time with use.Overall I am super happy with the hand painted and glazed look. These remind me of hand crafted pottery and I love the imperfections in the paint style for that reason. If you are looking for perfectly matching dishes stick to a single color. If you want something that is affordable with a hand crafted look these are for you.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this set! This is white with black. I added the pic because there's a grey wave between the white and black (on the bowls), which I actually like better than what's shown on Amazon. They're stone, so not a true white or black, but again, I like it better. I've used them in the microwave, oven and put them in the dishwasher. They're thin, so they don't take too much space, and they're much lighter than past stone I've had. There are little black flecks that I keep trying to clean off (or pick up with my fork), but I'm sure I'll get used to them. Also, when I first unpacked the bowls, I was disappointed in the size. But no, they hold more than you'd think, they just have an uneven, wider lip that makes them seem small. And last, but not least, they're not boring white plates, but they're so subtle that the food is the star! Pictured: small plate and bowl.

I do love this set of dinnerware, but do have a word of caution if you plan on purchasing multiple sets. If you want multiple sets, you really should order them all at once. I first ordered 2 sets of service for 4 place settings of the “Gibson Elite Green Lantern Service for 4 (16 Piece) Double Bowl Dinnerware Set, Teal, Soft Gray, Dinnerware Set”. The first 2 sets arrived together very well packed in boxes with lovely color graphics on the boxes. I liked the dishes so much that I wanted to buy an extra set of 4 place settings, so I would have 12 of each in case some broke in the future. This third box came packed very well packed in a plain cardboard box, no color pictures, just information stamped on the box. It seemed that the third set was made in a different factory. The color of the bottom of the dinnerware of the third set is a lighter color (dark green) and the bottom of the first 2 sets is almost black. See photo of them stacked in the dishwasher for comparison. The color of tops of the dinnerware from all 3 sets are the same. I didn’t bother sending them back the third set because they are basically for backup. The dishes are very well packed for shipping (we live in a rural area, bumpy dirt roads, so I was impressed that no dishes arrived broken). Also, depending on your dishwasher, the dishes do take up more room in the dishwasher, but I’m okay with that. We’ve been using them for a month and no cut marks so far. As other people mentioned, they do get hot in the microwave, but that’s not un-manageable and food does look beautiful on them.

I love these plates. They are large and the bowls are deep. They are kind of heavy. They were packed well and arrived quickly.
