These are an upgrade for the stock SCX10 axle housing that benefit the rig in several ways. SCX10 XR Mod Beef Tubes allow you to install Axial Wraith/XR10 c-hubs and knuckles along with XR10 universals to obtain up to 70 degrees of steering. They add weight down low to help the center of gravity of your rig, enabling you to run less rotating weight in the tires. They also "Beef" up the axle housing itself to help keep from snapping the housing in half. Another benefit is that they give you a solid metal mount for the c-hub screws, instead of the stock plastic that normally holds the c-hub screws and strips out easily. They will work in both the front and rear axles. You will receive two SCX10 XR Mod Beef Tubes (enough for one axle). Tube weight = 2.6 o.z. per set Team KNK Hardware is included! Good option, no other competitors offering similar so buy them.
I started with wraith hubs pressed and screwed over the stock scx10 axle flanges. When I got tired of the poor fit I upgraded to these.Good: Shiny, heavy brass, well machined bushing bores and diameters. Bolt in ready, purchase supports a small American business owner.Bad: Overpriced for what they are. Spline fits a bit looser than I would have liked with my aftermarket c-hubs. Really have to cinch down the screws to lock the hubs in place. Screws loosen over time due to the spline slop.Update: After much use the screws would loosen and the hub would get sloppy. Or the screws that go into the axle case would fall out. After JB welding it in place all is good.
