Pros:-Very high bang for your buck, considering it's 18.99 with free shipping.-Board is solidly constructed, with a smooth, durable hinge, and thick, high quality plastic. Board interlocks perfectly without a hitch when opened and closed.-Board is about 15 inches square, which is much closer to a real standard board than most cheap magnetic sets, where the board is so small you have to squint to see what's going on and the smallness of the board detracts from the enjoyment of the game.-Circular indents inside board hold stone containers in place while board is closed to prevent unnecessary sliding around. You have to actually clamp the board closed with your hands as you carry it though, as there is no automatic locking mechanism, or rather, it is extremely weak (which is actually a good thing imo)-The amount of attraction between the stones and the board is absolutely perfect. It's not too strong to hinder cleanup or removing stones, but strong enough for you to move the board around (even fold it in half mid game and/or flip it upside down like you're playing on the ceiling) without the stones coming off.-The stones themselves are a good size, slightly smaller than standard stones, but much larger than the usual tiny ones that you get in magnetic sets. You can actually hold them properly between your index and middle finger, and place them, which feels good. In addition to their diameter being only slightly smaller than standard 21mm stones, they are quite thick.-The part where the stones are ripped off from the plastic frame is SANDED and smooth, so there is no annoying sharp part to cut you. I saw someone else complaining about this problem on a different magnetic board.Cons:-Some of the magnetic fillings are uneven. Some of them are sticking out by 1mm (I had only 2 of these), and some are pushed in incompletely. Sometimes you can push them in yourself, but sometimes you can't. Not really a big deal, except if you slide these stones around on the board it may scratch the laminated surface. Most of my defective stones were black. I'd say only about 2 of them were really bad, with > 1mm protrusion from being flush with the surrounding plastic, and about 5 or 6 others were very slightly uneven.

Good value and quality
The board folds up and is plastic, but sturdy and looks good. The stones are magnetic to gently stay in place, and though some other reviewers had bad/cheap quality, the ones I received were smooth and nicely made. Overall a well made product and pretty good value.

Very nice Go game!
This was purchased for a beginning player. The set is study overall. The magnetic board is a great feature allowing the magnetized pieces to be held in place when the board is cleared from the table for dinner. The one little niggle is the magnets in the pieces could be a little stronger. The stones are well finished plastic and come in plastic tubs which can be stored inside the folded up board. The simple instruction book is just enough to get going on the game.

Nice value
Board feels a little cheap. Pieces are magnetic though just barely. Size of Board is good. 19 x19 playing surface. Piece containers move while stored in the Board, but the lids stay on so no muss no fuss. Well worth the money paid for a travel kit. So it's a good buy for the price. It's a travel kit so Im not complaining about the quality. Much easier to haul around than a real Goban with pieces and that's the point.

Love this
I am so happy to have a version that is not only self contained for storage but also the magnets really hold and so when accidents happen (which they always do) the game is not lost.

Low budget go, decent quality
So, this is a mixed bag for the price. It is a travel go set, which means that the board is metal and that the pieces have magnets to hold them in place. The board itself is of nice quality and the closing nature works well. The interior playing piece containers do not remain closed on their own without the aid of being sandwiched between the closed halves of the board. The pieces were more of a concern as they were dumped into the box (perhaps my board was a return), with over 1/2 of them missing magnets which were loose and mixed in.Overall for the money, this was a fairly quality item despite my having to reassemble what felt like 100 pieces.
