The Ultimate Barbie Doll Book: Identification and Price Guide

This is the best Barbie book I have ever gotten so far. I have gotten other Barbie books in the past, but they didn't include that much pictures or didn't provide a full description of the dolls like this one. I would highly recommend this book instead of The Barbie Doll Years book. I love how detailed this book is...like it details the outfits the dolls are wearing and what accessories they came with right down to the T! It even further breaks down the head molds, head markings, and doll stands. The only drawback is that book only goes up to 1995, and I have some dolls that came after 1995. Darn! I am really hoping that the author will consider updating this book sometime in the future to include dolls that were released after 1995. The only book I know so far where it includes all the Barbie doll lines, collectors' editions, exclusives, etc after 1995 is the "Barbie Doll Photo Album" book by J Michael Augustyniak.

Pristine condition. Seller extremely responsive. Superb, meticulous packaging: bubble wrap, cardboard, book could not be damaged in shipping. Gift for my daughter, an avid doll collector. She was thrilled with the book and in awe of the condition. It looks brand new. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from seller again.

With this book being written in 1996, you would think that at the least the barbie dolls listed in the book (especially from the 60's and 70's) would have the correct information. Out of the 6 dolls I have looked up information on, half (3) of them, either the information is lacking on options (hair color), extras that come with them or just wrong discription of an important detail (hair lenght)!So, I guess if you can get it for a decent price, it can hopefully help as a guide only.

If you are thinking about trying to find Vintage Barbie this is the Book For You! I had No Idea how many variables are in play when it comes to Barbie. Dates, manufacturers, ballet arms, mexico arms.....Where is the date stamp on her body? Does she have a "Stacy" Face? Add to that the possibility of sellers assembling random Barbie parts to make a "vintage' doll..So many vital details! To make sure that you know what you are paying for you need The Ultimate Barbie Doll Book for collectors! I highly recommend this book!

Book was in excellect shape when received, on time. It provides lots of information unfortunately for me it only provided infor on dolls 1994-1995 and prior and majority of my dolls are 1995 and after.

Il libro è arrivato in breve tempo . Un libro indispensabile per ogni collezionista con tutte le Barbie che ogni appassionato di Barbie dovrebbe avere, l'unica pecca è che mi è arrivato il libro senza copertina e io me lo aspettavo con la copertina come appariva nella descrizione di Amazon.

Livre papier glacé, le texte en anglais, mais pas sans importance. En effet, les photos sont parlantes. 4 poupées présentées par page de la page 11 à 243 et 3 ensuite de la 245 à 267. 5 poupées les 2 dernières pages. Présentation : 1 photo de la poupée Barbie dans sa boîte et 1 photo de même dimension avec un gros plan sur la tête pour toutes les pages à côté, sauf les 2 dernières pages, uniquement la poupée dans sa boîte. La page 244 présente 3 poupées avec les différentes têtes. Vraiment sympa et bien documenté. De plus superbe état. Et pas fragile, peut être manipulé par un enfant soigneux car glacé. Très bien
