Chrome store on Amazon
I purchased the MacBook Pro with M1 Pro from the Chrome Store on Amazon, and the experience has been excellent so far. The performance is extremely fast, with smooth multitasking and no lag even during heavy workloads. The battery life is impressive and easily lasts a full workday. The display is sharp and vibrant, the build quality feels premium, and macOS runs very smoothly on Apple silicon. It’s also surprisingly quiet and stays cool during use. Overall, this is a powerful and reliable laptop, well worth the investment for professionals and everyday users alike. Highly recommended.

Delighted -- better than I expected
This MacBook Pro 2021 (with M1Pro processor, 16" screen with 1TB of storage) is an incredible deal. This machine sold for roughly $2600 when new, but I got it from the Renewed program for $850 in November, 2025. It arrived in perfect condition. Truly like new. No wear or marks anywhere, and with battery still at 91% with 99 cycles. Given Mac batteries are good for 500 to 1000 cycles, that's good for four more years. The screen is as wonderful as all MacBook Pros (way better than my 2024 M4 MacBook Air). It even came with the original Apple charger and a like new cable (also Apple, not third party). I have nothing but superlatives to say about this purchase. Delighted, which is a rare thing in the world of buying used equipment. The keyboard, which I expected to be the same as my 2020 M1 MacBook Air and 2024 MacBook Air 15", seems silkier, quieter and better than either of them. No wear visible. Clearly the Pros are a step up from the Airs in all ways. It's not quite as snappy as my M4 Air, but is better than my M1 Air. Perfectly usable. But when it comes to Photoshop, it is superior to my M4 Air given it has more CPU performance cores and graphics cores due to the M1Pro chip. It's heavy, but this will be used as my Photoshop machine for home use. Screen quality has this extra quality to it compared to both Airs, and brightness is close to my 2024 M4 Air 15", but the colors and sense of depth and vividness greatly exceed the M4 Air. It's truly an amazing screen. Don't know how it was used in its prior life, but its amazing to me that a four year old machine can still outperform a late model one when it comes to graphics (although its hardly as good as a 2025 MacBook Pro, but the new Pro 16" sells in the mid-2000 dollar range). Other than some increased brightness, the current Pro screen is the same as my 2021. Mini-Led with variable refresh rates up to 120hz.

Not fully functional - Replaced OEM Display with no ambient light sensor/True Tone/Auto Brightness
1. Device was supposed to be an “Excellent condition renewed” but the laptop was not fully functional and the listing is misleading. The first thing I noted was that automatic brightness and True Tone options were not working or even showing up on display settings; the display colors looked too cold and uncomfortable to look at. Ran Apple Diagnostics Tool and got Error ALS001 “There may be an issue with Ambient Light Sensor” and terminal reported “ALS not found”. Did a deep research and found out the display on this MacBook Pro was likely replaced with a cheap OEM display that might not even have the Ambient Light Sensor (OEM parts that includes the sensor are more expensive) and, on top of everything, it was probably replaced by a third party shop and not APPLE itself. 2. The battery had almost 230 cycles at 88% capacity. Considering other buyers got batteries at 99% - 100% this one was very worn out. This is something I was willing to accept, as for the renewed lottery some battery wear is expected, but this a completely different scenario to get a laptop with crippled cheap replaced OEM parts. 3. The charger is not Apple Mag Safe as stated in the listing , they sent a cheap USB-C generic 118 w charger that will risk damaging your device. 4. The MacBook Pro otherwise was in good condition, without major or severe scratches or dents. *Had to clean it, came very dirty. I decided to return the laptop because it’s unacceptable to spend +$1000 on a supposedly “excellent condition” renewed Apple device that must be fully functional and end up getting a device with a replaced OEM display, that lacks the most important sensor on which other functions like True Tone, automatic keyboard brightness and automatic display brightness rely on. This is cheating on the customer.

Super fast Macbook with plenty of ports
I'm not a fan of the price of Macbooks but if you can get past that, this truly is a great laptop. It's very fast and powerful. This is my main work computer, and I run lots of software throughout the day, such as Word and Excel, but also several browser windows with many tabs open, Slack, and Zoom with no problems at all. I also do video editing (Da Vinci Resolve) while everything else is running and still no loading issues. This is my first Mac with an M chip and I was worried I might run into software compatibility issues but I was able to transfer everything from my Intel-based Macbook to this one seamlessly. This has three USB-C ports and each one is capable of charging the computer or connecting to an external monitor, which is great. But this also has a proprietary charging port if you need an extra USB-C port and it has an HDMI port if you want to use that for a monitor. The charging cable also connects magnetically, which is nice because it'll pop right off if you accidentally trip over the wire. There's also an SD port, which is awesome for me since I do a lot of photo and video editing work. It's so much easier to pull the SD card out of my camera and download media to the computer or to another hard drive. I ordered the 16" model after using a 14" model for years and it took me a while to get used to it. This computer is much larger and felt way oversized for several weeks but I eventually got used to it. I still miss my old 14" laptop for portability though because it was smaller and much lighter. I still haven't taken this computer out with me because it's big and I'd rather just leave it at home. But the benefits of a larger screen is a huge plus. On the smaller Mac, I couldn't split screen and work out of two windows. The 16" model makes split screen possible, so I don't always need an external monitor. I'm far more productive with this screen. Another drawback of the size is the large hand rest area. I have to reach much further to reach the keys and my wrists rest on the edge of the laptop, which is a little uncomfortable. I wouldn't say one size is better than the other, just that each one has its benefits. The screen is huge. I have another 15.5" PC laptop and the screen on this Mac feels so much larger, because the bezel on the edges is very thin. Very little space is wasted here. The speakers are great and that's one thing I've always loved about Macbooks over PC laptops (or at least the ones I've owned). I have three other Windows machines and the speakers are terrible and sound tinny. But the audio on this Macbook feels like you're surrounded by the sound and everything sounds crisp and clear. You can hear the bass. The camera is pretty good, and much better than previous models (such as the 2019 model I previously used). It's not amazing and you'lll probably still want to use an external camera for higher quality video calls, but this camera is still surprisingly good. It does a great job of lightening up the scene in dark rooms.

Great MacBook Pro at a Very Reasonable Price - Just Add an Apple Power Converter and Mag-3 Cable
Apple builds great laptops, and buying a reconditioned MacBook Pro is a cost-effective way to have one. The seller, Chrome Source, sent me a great looking 2021 MacBook that probably hadn't seen much action. It's in top condition. I upgraded from a 2013 MacBook Pro that was no longer supported. As for compatibility, all of my peripherals have outdated USB connections, but are working fine with Apple USB/USB-C adapters. The sound from this model is wonderful. The power converter that came with the laptop was third-party and didn't last but a few hours. I bought a new Apple converter and an Apple Mag-3 power cable, and all is well. The business with the failed power converter didn't impact my satisfaction with the product or the seller. Someone else had commented on the power converter earlier so I was expecting it to fail.

Good, but...
I bought a 16” MacBook Pro M1 Pro through Amazon’s Renewed program, and overall, the experience was positive. The laptop arrived well-packaged and in great physical condition — no deep scratches or major marks, just some very minor signs of natural use, like slight wear on the keys, which is expected from a refurbished product. A big plus: the battery had very few cycles, indicating that the device was lightly used. Performance-wise, everything is working perfectly so far. The main downside is the charger. Unfortunately, it’s not an original Apple adapter, and it’s also not from a reputable brand. It’s clearly a generic accessory, and it shows signs of poor quality — it causes the MacBook to repeatedly play the charging sound (“chime”), as if it’s constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. This issue doesn’t happen when using a genuine or certified charger, which clearly points to a problem with the one provided. Suggestion: Amazon or the seller should be more transparent about the charger not being original and/or include a higher-quality replacement. For a product at this price point, cutting corners on such a critical accessory really affects the overall experience. Other than that, I’m satisfied with the machine itself — just leaving a heads-up for anyone considering this purchase: you might want to invest in a proper charger if you run into the same issue.

Worth the upgrade!!
I recently purchased this laptop to replace my previous 15-inch 2017 MBP. I didn't have the budget for a brand new MBP so I did my research and came across this computer which fulfills my current needs. Even though this laptop is only 4 years newer than my previous one it is far superior in many ways. First, I day trade stocks and every time I connected an external monitor to my previous laptop it constantly overheated and I'm happy to say I no longer have this problem. Also, my previous laptop had known issues with the keyboard keys getting stuck and duplicating typed letters. The keyboard on this laptop is worlds better!! Another reason I purchased this particular laptop is because the description mentioned that it was in excellent condition and it comes with an 11 month warranty. A new computer from Apple only comes with a 12 month warranty so I feel really good about any potential near term problems. I can say that the computer I received pretty much looks brand new and the battery life which was advertised as being guaranteed over 80% ended up coming in at 92% so that was a very welcome surprise. The only minor negative thing I can say is that the included power adapter is not the original mag-safe adapter that comes from Apple (it was not advertised as being included with this purchase) and the one that it comes with the computer works just fine under a heavy load with multiple stock charts being processed in real time. I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy it from this seller again.

perfect purchase, perfect laptop, zero issues
I read a fair amount of 1 star feedback from this seller before I bought my laptop however there was enough 5 star feedback for me to make a MacBook Pro purchase. my laptop came in basically new condition and as a bonus they included a brand new charger still in it's Apple plastic wraping. I opted for extra memory instead of bigger hard drive because I basically use a external SSD to back up everything. the laptop is HDR capable so HDR 4k Netflix movies look incredible. I've had zero issues with mine since I made the purchase so I can't complain about anything. It seems as though people says you're just taking chance because you don't know if you're going to get a good product or not so good. My laptop is perfect and looks basically new. When I have to buy another one I will take a chance again and but from this seller.
