I found it definitely protects the console when it falls when one of the straps broke when I just went to pick it up. I was getting it out of my car and just picked it up by my finger and one side of the handle broke and the case fell on the pavement. So it did its job at least. For whatever that's worth. Now I need a new one though.

I really wanted to like this case, and I probably would have if it was not defective. I only had two requirements.1. Elastic straps to secure the console in case it was opened upside down, etc. Licensed cases don't have this feature as if they want you to drop it.2. Dual zippers so the console could be charged without removal if desired.The case I received had tears in the zipper border fabric, which causes the zipper to get stuck during closure. This will cause the zipper to make the tear openings larger and eventually fail completely as with each time you zip up the case causes further damage to it. After providing pics of the case condition a replacement was decided necessary on May 18, 2017 it is now June 6, 2017 - it is in limbo. If I ever receive a replacement that isn't defective, I will revisit this review and rate the case according to one in great working condition as I'm sure the manufacturer intends.

Had the case less than a month, the handle stitching came out while I was carrying it from my car to my house. Wasn't ever flung around or anything.

This case is awesome! I just traveled with it and it's wonderful for taking on aircraft!

Update: only lasted 2 months before the zippers broke and the handle ripped off.It fits the Nintendo Switch perfectly, the only negative thing I find is that the charger doesnt fit in it. Other than that its a pretty decent item.

This case does the job.Good:You can fit a charging cable out between the zippers and charge the switch while it's in the case.Place to store a couple of accessories and games.Bad: One of the straps that holds the switch in place broke after a few trips.
