Really good product
Made of heavy duty metal. Well made. The button on the side that activates the spring open-close works well. I added a little oil, but it works smoothly with firm pressure. I used it to support the bed in our van for a quicker set up for one side of the center board, and it works better than I even expected. Very stable (I used 3 along one side) and it feels very secure even with 2 heavy adults. Very good purchase.

Good hinges to extend tables
Brackets are fairly big but they are sturdy. We connect it to a floating wood piece that added 12 more inches of counter top extension. It held up nice however you can't put heavy items on top of it. I like that it comes with 2 release buttons for safety. Overall it is a good buy and did its purpose.

The Table Legs Wobble Like Weebils With These Hinges
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible! You could get more support from a deadbeat dad than your table legs get from these hinges. When you hold up the table, the legs swing in the air like the hanged men's legs in the Clint Eastwood movie, "Hang'em High". Never have I seen a product so unable to do what it's supposed to do. All I can say is about these hinges is what James MacArthur said in the movie, "May God have mercy upon their souls."

Flexes too much
Used these on a n extension on my shop work bench that was only going to used occasionally. Wanted it to fold when not in use. After install in become obvious that the hinge was too flexible, allowing the legs to lean after being moved. Had casters installed. In a different application they would probably be good.

I would recommend this product for anyone needing a hinge to self-lock in place when opened.
