Awesome info with lots of pictures and well thought out instructions. It's nice knowing there are people like chris bartocci out there. that are highly knowledgable about the ar15/m4 family of weapons, that are willing to spend the time to compile all the information neccessary to make a quality armorers manual. I understand this book is not for everyone if you are already a so called "internet gun expert" your immense knowledge will be in pain knowing there could be a spelling mistake or possiblly info about firearms that you do not own, Such as parts to an auto sear. I see there are other people that have reviewed this book that fall into this category and they are entitled to their opinions, but honestly this book is written for the common man that is trying to get accurate and trustworthy information and this book does that perfectly with more colored pictures and step by step instructions than i have ever seen in a manual. This book is definatley worth ordering.

Chris is the foremost authority on Colt specific knowledge in this country today. I took an armorers class many years ago and I think he used the same or a very similar book for the class. The info is very basic but thorough. It breaks down the AR15 down into sub groups and is accurate from a technical and nomenclature point of view. Do not expect TDP specs or advanced troubleshooting. This would be a good starting point for someone new to the platform who wishes a little more detailed information from a well vetted instructor.

This is a detailed manual on the disassembly and assembly of AR-15 style rifles. The instructions and pictures are clear, and the author has established his bona fides with years of articles and books, plus a technical YouTube channel that I have found fascinating. In fact, the Small Arms Solutions channel is what led me to purchase this book.If you’re a beginner, this is mandatory before building an AR. Don’t just rely on (still helpful) online videos. Get this book.Bear in mind, it is focused on the detailed basics, so there is little content that would apply to ‘extras’ of variants from the standard. In other words, you’ll have to look elsewhere for installing a free float handguard, etc.

This book has every aspect of the maintaining and building of an AR platform rifle. It is written so that anyone can understand what to do and how. One of the best books I have on this subject. I would recommend this to anyone starting out or just keeping up with the changes of this platform.
