Excellent
The book of proverbs is filled with unfamiliar imagery from the cultures of ancient times. Here, Father Pacwa explains these images in terms that relate to the experiences and challenges of modern life. You do not need to be a Catholic to benefit from the insights he offers. This book has helped me tremendously in my ambition to read the whole Bible cover to cover, as I was having difficulty moving through the book of Proverbs at a smooth pace. Why don't we discuss the content of the book of Proverbs as often as we do the Parable of the Good Samaritan or the story of Noah's Ark? It would be a good thing if young people grew up being aware of its contents. Father Pacwa has produced a tool that can help make this a reality.

Wisdom and common sense
A good easy read that makes the book of Proverbs more accessible to the modern world that lacks so much understanding. What seems paradoxical is actually common sense.

Pacwa is always a delight to read and to hear on EWTN
Fr. Pacwa is always a delight to read and to hear on EWTN. He has the charism of pulling together different viewpoints into a cohesive whole and explaining Scripture in such a way that one leaves the encounter with a deeper understanding of the faith and a closer union with God.

Pacwa is such an outstanding scholar and if you have any interest in the Proverbs (which every Christian should) this is a wonderful, easily read book
What can I say? Fr. Pacwa is such an outstanding scholar and if you have any interest in the Proverbs (which every Christian should) this is a wonderful, easily read book. A very good reference book to keep handy.

Enjoyable
The proverbs are a hard book to read because it can feel like a list of fortune cookies. I appreciated Fr. Mitch’s thematic approach. Good insights as always.

Good for anyone who doesn't know the first thing about ...
Good for anyone who doesn't know the first thing about Proverbs, but I'm disappointed in the brevity of the book. I think Fr. Pacwa is a good author, but there's a LOT of ground to be covered in Proverbs, 31 chapters, 915 proverbs total.

Awsome
This book shows through the Bible’s book of Proverbs that 2500 year old principles are still relevant in the 21st Century. Illustrating that the wisdom of the Profits is timeless.
