Bottom Line: The Vacuum Sander Worked Very Well for My Newly Plastered Ceiling Project!
The vacuum sander worked very well on my newly plastered kitchen ceiling, leaving no dust at all. I frankly couldn't have asked for more. At the low price, the sander is a great tool for a homeowner, doing modest projects. There is nothing fancy about the sanding unit, but it does the job well.I had plastered the ceiling of our kitchen and needed to lightly sand the high spots. The sander hose easily connected to the hose of my shop vacuum, giving me about ten to twelve feet of hose length to work with on a low ladder. I used my own sanding screen, which went on easily. While not a fancy piece of equipment, the sanding unit worked well for my modest project. If one was doing a really large job, upgrading to a more professional sander would be good option. But for the price, this little unit worked well for me.The sanding unit has a setting to adjust the suction power, which I couldn't quite figure out. I might have to break the "male rules" and read the instruction sheet next time. I wish the unit was made in the USA.

No more dust when sanding drywall
Dont like to do large drywall job due to the sanding process that kicks up a lot of dust and just makes it a very messy job. More so when doing repairs or remodels in your home, with kids running around. Dont want them to breath in the fine drywall dust. This contraption just works. The screen sands down the compound and the yellow screen holder has air passages in them to suck in the dust and send it into your vacuum. It greatly reduced the dust around the area. Coupled with a HEPA filter, there were no issues. STILL RECOMMEND WEARING A RESPIRATOR.Only gripe is the supplied air hose to attach to your shop vac is on the stiffer side. So it can get a little annoying while sanding walls or ceilings due to it not flexing enough.

One of my top must have renovation tools!!!
This is amazing. Our house had popcorn ceilings and orange peel texture as thick as a barn is wide. I hated it. I did a skim coat on our living room, dining room and kitchen walls and removed popcorn ceiling and patched without this because money was tight and what is a little clean up?I can tell you, I was sorely mistake. There was no "a little clean up," there was a clean out a blizzard level layer of this all over everything, in every room, covered, boxed up or not without this. The fine dust infiltrated every where. My first skim coat job sucked bc I had poor lighting and no clue what I was doing. It made my OCD self cringe every time I saw my bad sanding job that left marks or divets I missed. And there were a lot. Fast forward 2 years and dreading the idea of so much dust and cleaning and I caved and bought this as I started on my hall and bathroom. It makes it so much easier, because it is SO MUCH CLEANER, that as I have left over mud I am touching up the walls in the other rooms as I go. No need to move furniture out. No need to evacuate hubby or son with allergies and asthma. No need to go crazy. There is VERY minimal dust and it even cuts down on how much wiping off the walls needed before priming. If this item inspires my OCD but drywall and painting hating self to redo walls I just did (albeit terribly) two years ago, to prime and paint again to perfection this time it is worth every cent. I will never so much as patch a wall without this again! My only complaint is that I have no idea how the vent things function or what way they are supposed to twist. There really aren't any decent instructions for it either, but guess what? I DON'T CARE BC THIS IS STILL FANTASTIC AND SAVES YOUR SANITY!As a side note - I have Fibromyalgia. I hurt a lot and I tire easy. Renovating is so daunting for me because there is so much clean up involved. I feel like you have to work in large sections and go at it like marathon unless you want to clean it a million times and double your work. With this, I can work for 5 or 10 minutes even and take a break. The only clean up is rolling away my vac. It is a game changer.

Works as expected for sanding walls while minimized dust
Purchased product "used, like new" and it functions as intended, but it didn't come in the manufacturer box and was missing the sanding screen. To be expected more/less for something used, but when something is described as like new you kinda assume that it'll arrive, oh idk, like new? As of late the descriptions for used items area literally useless; this is the last blunder and I've already started using a competitor that specializes in auctions for anything used.Apologies to Hyde for dinging their product to gripe about the vendor, but the complete lack of QC when it comes to used items is baffling. Anyway, the sander is great if you have a shop vac and don't want to mess around with wet sanding. However, I'd suggest you buy it new or better yet go down to the store and get it in person.

Where has this thing been all my life?!
I’ve always sanded the walls the hard way. I used to dread patching up and painting all because of the dust from sanding getting everywhere. I would get tired of it and it would never end up looking good because I’d give up and just slap some paint over it without it being done properly. This thing is awesome! There is virtually no dust at all in the air or all over the furniture, and the mesh is better than the usual sandpaper. With this hose sander, my walls actually look good instead of like a lumpy autumn squash, and I get my painting projects done faster than I ever could before so I can enjoy the room again. The hose is long enough that I can reach the higher walls too. It did take a little trial and error to get the right amount of suction. At first it was super strong and I couldn’t move it that well, but a little twisting on it and it was all good. Definitely a worthy spend.

Stay Dust Free
Great tool. I have an extended hose connected to the provided hose. Extended hose is connected to my shop vac that I have outside. Literally, no dust on the floor and no sweeping needed in the room where I am sanding. Environment is dust free and not inhaling the dust particles. Doing the work myself saving a few $K's. Highly recommended

Actually Works
I've done my fair share of drywall mud sanding in my life, and I absolutely hate it. One of the things I hate most about it is the dust. It gets EVERYWHERE. I bought this based on a recommendation and didn't expect much from it.Wow. Was I ever wrong. This thing is amazing. It is so effective at capturing dust that you might almost wonder if the sanding sheet is even working properly. Until you open your shop-vac and realize how much dust it captured that would have otherwise been all over your work area. The claims of 90-95% are accurate and may even be a little conservative. Even though I would never recommend drywall sanding without a mask, this tool will almost make you think you could get away without one. (I still wear a mask though cause any amount of drywall mud dust is nasty). My only complaint is that it was hard to get used to sanding with a hose attached. I eventually did get used to it, but it will never feel as easy as a normal sanding pad. Dealing with the hose is a MUCH smaller hassle than dealing with the dust, so its a good trade off as far as I'm concerned.

Tout a fait le produit que je cherchais
Enfin un ponçage d'enduit sans poussière. Le tuyau est à peine assez souple mais on s'adapte.

Very effective tool and workout accessory
This product works very well right out of the box but was made even better after I ran some electrical tape around the perimeter of the sanding pad before the screen was attached. Now basically no dust escapes as I manoeuvre it around. As an added bonus (?) you will also get a great workout by using this tool!
