Everything you need for making network cables
The Klein Tools 80072 RJ45 Cable Tester Kit has been an absolute lifesaver for my networking projects. This kit is not only versatile but also incredibly easy to use, making it perfect for both professionals and DIYers alike. The LAN Scout Jr. 2 tester works like a charm, providing quick and accurate results when testing RJ45 cables. It’s compact and straightforward, giving me confidence in my network connections every time I use it. The display is clear, and it identifies any wiring issues with ease, saving me tons of troubleshooting time. What really stands out, though, is the Coax Crimper/Stripper/Cutter tool. It’s durable and well-constructed, and all the functions—crimping, stripping, and cutting—are integrated into one tool, which is super convenient. The crimping action feels solid, and I’ve never had a bad connection when using it. It makes working with coaxial cables so much easier, and I love that I don’t need multiple tools to get the job done.Overall, this kit is a must-have for anyone working with RJ45 and coax cables. The combination of a reliable cable tester and a high-quality crimping tool in one set makes it a fantastic value. Klein Tools always delivers on quality, and this kit is no exception. Highly recommended!

Don't skimp - get these good quality tools.
I've had other tools to do this job for a while now, and was having mixed results with them. I found the crimps weren't always creating contact. Now, they'e perfect every time. Wish I would have bought this five years ago, would have saved myself from some nightmare communication diagnostics. I also bought the Klein cable tester - worthwhile even for someone like me who is only building their own network.

This is a great value for a combo kit. The cable tester is basic, but it gets the job done. Klein Tools are always great!

GREAT CAT 6 CRIMPER & TESTER
Before I purchased this product, I tried cheaper crimpers with no luck, causing a lot of frustration and wasted time. After MULTIPLE attempts to make a 60-foot CAT 6 Cable, I gave up, returned the inferior crimper, and bought this tool. I successfully made a CAT 6 cable on the very 1st attempt due to the high quality and precision of this tool. Additionally, the tester is easy to use and is a necessity when making 1Gbps cables. It's a bit expensive, but worth the price, IMHO.
