Best and Most Simple Pool Problem Solver
We have a "robot" pool cleaner and all the cleaning tools in the world, but nothing stopped the pool drains from clogging up with tree leaves. We were having to take the filters off every day and clean them. This is such a simple, effective fix. We put it across the filter intake opening, and VOILA! Took care of it immediately!

Finally the solution I've been looking for
We keep our pool open all year round, but the fall months are a bear! All the leaves from giant oak and maple trees around us continually clog the skimmer. I've tried all types of solutions, including covering the entire pool in netting (a huge hassle). Nothing really worked well, until I found this. So simple. Keeps leaves, seeds, everything out of the skimmers. They then sink to the bottom where my robot cleaner sucks them up. I have not found any impact on water flow after installing them. Yes, a little pricey for what they are, but well worth it for the peace of mind!

Not worth the money
I had gotten it so when I was out of town that my skimmers would not get packed before the weekly pool maintenance and burn out the pool pump. Well I ran a trial run before I left, this would stay attached for a little bit and then pop off. I tried many things to keep it secure and the slightest jostle (wind, rain, etc.) would make it come off. It was not worth the constant babysitting it needed and definitely would not have lasted during our vacation. Pretty bummed considering the high price tag for what you get.

One Design Problem
This is a great idea and it works good - unless you have a real leaf problem. The skimmer draws them to the screen, and then they build up and go under the bottom of the screen. I guess the screen should go deeper or maybe another screen on the bottom, like a basket.

It works
Likes: it works. Tried 4 different products off of Amazon but this one works at keeping the big leaves out of your skimmer. Even clogged with leaves, there’s still good flow into the skimmer.I use only when I travel or if it’s especially windy. So I can’t comment on durability. It’s super simple to set up/install. And easy to clean.

No leaves in basket
Wish I had gotten one of these years ago!! Easy to install and keeps the leaves and debris out of the pool skimmer basket. Bought one for a friend and she loves it too!

Great product--so long as it lasts
I was a bit skeptical to purchase this as I think it's expensive, but it has been great at keeping stuff out of our skimmer basket. This helps the water flow and improves pump performance by a lot.My only issue is that pretty quickly the metal started rusting. I contacted the seller, and they said they've not seen that and they promptly sent me a replacement. So with the caveat that I hope the product doesn't rust, it is otherwise great. I'm really suprised more products like this don't exist--since it traps leaves and other garbage at the water line while still allowing the filter do its magic without the entrainment of all of the leaves.

Keeps popping out of place
Installing it was much harder than the Amazon page indicated- I’m also curious given it’s very slim hold on the drain how it will do when my Polaris or it’s hose happen to bump up against it- Like others, the price seems very high for something made out of what looks like very questionable parts. — I’m interested in any other customer feedback on how if it stays in place when the Polaris and hose brush up against it- update- it is a nightmare- while in place it works fine but it pops out at the least contact … resetting it is even harder than doing so in the first place- very frustrating- also requires a Gumby like flexibility to put in
