Good quality steel. Handle length and coverage diameter is good enough. Best for frying items like fish or certain foods where oil spatters. After using this product I am not getting burned by hot oil splash and my cook top remains much cleaner as oil doesn’t spread all over it.

The splatter guard is exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased. I know we all hope our order will arrive undamaged, but the amount of packing was rather OTT!Item inside a plastic bag, inside a padded bag, 2-3 metres of brown paper, all inside a large box!

Absolutely brilliant piece of kit at a very good price for what you get. Our largest frying pan width is 280mm, so, this is a great fit, it can also be used on smaller frying pans as well, but, it maybe unsafe to leave it resting on the edge, best to keep hold of it whilst cooking. The handle and general construction is wonderful, although I thought the handle might get a bit hot, but, it didn't and I think having a plastic handle might be counter-productive. The screen is very sturdy, difficult to break/bend, unless you did it on purpose, this should last for a long time if used properly. The mesh is excellent and stops most splatter although I cook my sausages and eggs on a medium heat anyway so there isn't a lot of hot fat bubbling up in the pan by default. Will only use this maybe 3 times a week, so, it should last quite a while, excellent design and easy to clean with a cloth/small brush, unsure if it would fit into an automatic dishwasher, and whether it would be in one piece when it comes out, best to clean it by hand I think. I obtained this for about £9, can't understand folks saying it's too expensive, I personally think it's superb value for money, can't fault it, compared to other cooking utensils on the market these days, wish I'd got one year's ago.

My family decided that they wanted to eat fried eggs, despite us not having them for years. Our frying pan was found in the depths of the cupboard and my husband decided to show off his culinary skills and get frying! The eggs were good but he managed to burn himself with hot oil and also ruin a T-Shirt that got covered in oil splatters. At that point I realised I had to buy a splatter guard as his egg cooking before his egg cooking turned out to be a danger sport!After some researching on Amazon I decided on this one and I am so glad I did. It is impressively sturdy and covers the frying pan well. It is easy to keep clean and basically does the job perfectly. What’s even better is that there are no more burnt husbands or ruined T-shirts!

It is a good item and it works well.Plus, it just goes in the dishwasher and it looks like new after many uses.The fact that it is dispatched by Amazon is a real bonus as it came in a proper Amazon Box which protected it while in transit.At first we had ordered a similar item from a different supplier who did not use adequate packing but fragile tape is no substitue for a proper Amazon Box.
