The Sour Grape

My kids really like this book. I love everything about it, the illustrations and the story are just perfect. You can have so many great discussions with your kids after reading it. I’ll definitely buy more books from this series.

My whole family are big fans of this John & Oswald series! Who doesn’t love anthropomorphic foods?!? They are so good! They incorporate “big feelings” in very relatable ways along with overcoming them. They speak to friend groups/dynamics. For reference, my 2nd grader is able to read these mostly independently and the hardcover holds up pretty good over time.

Great picture book that’s full of vibrant illustrations regarding the power of forgiveness & extending grace to those around us. Great book to teach younger kids regarding their emotions & the concept of forgiveness. This book is actually enjoyable for the parent or teacher reading out loud as it is for the kids who are listening. If you have read John Jory’s other books in this series (The Bad Seed, The Cool Bean, or Couch Potato) you will fall in love with this one too! Great addition to your family or classroom library. Definitely recommend!

Another fantastic book by Jory John and Pete Oswald. This may be my new favourite in the series. Great story with a nice lesson and the illustrations are cute! My kindergarten class loves it! I highly recommend this book (and the entire series) to teachers and parents.

Love these books and so dose my son

I bought this series to introduce my 5 year old to more complex feelings. They present different characters perspectives and how misunderstandings can happen and be solved. The stories are fun and engaging.
