let the ink fly
bought these as a gift for my husband who is an artist and he loves them. compared to other art pens on the market they are reasonably priced. They draw a nice line and act like a brush. They do not seem to leak, and are easy to use. the black ones are pretty dark so the color is nice

Great for practicing calligraphy
I use these pens to be practice Japanese kanji and I am a very happy customer. I will definitely buy them again in the future. They are quality pens and very comfortable to use. It takes some practice but it is easy to understand and control the flux of ink when using the brush pens, which is a basic skill of any calligraphy practice regardless of the language or writing system. I recommend this product.

Fantastic Starter Brush Pens
I bought these for a comics class I’m taking, but I’ve previously bought the Pentel brush pen, so I’m slightly familiar with quality and how to use them. From all five pens, only the largest size has an actual bristle tip. I personally prefer bristle tips, however this one has a tendency to streak when attempting to make larger strokes, which really shouldn’t happen. The second image show a comparison between the Kuretake and my Pentel. (The top stroke is Pentel, bottom stroke Kuretake) While the Pentel has an even, larger stroke, great consistency, and no stray bristles, the Kuretake bristles seperate quite easily and less to the streaky look I mentioned before. It’s also not as pigmented as the Pentel, though it’s barely noticeable.There is also hardly any difference between the weights of the last 2-3 pens. If you’re experienced and can keep steady pressure, you only need the largest one with bristles because you can get virtually any thickness desired - but if that’s the case just buy the Pentel. If you’re not as experienced you only need about 2-3, the large one, the medium, and maybe a small - the small can give you the same thinness as the extra fine pens with very little change in pressure.Other than that, I had no issues with these pens. Again, I’m not that familiar with brush pens, but I would say these are great for practicing certain techniques. The price is great for this pack of five.

Great quality and long life
The quality of these brushpens is exactly what I was looking for. This was my real first experience using penbrushes, unlike other ones I have bouth previously, which were too large. They served me well for a lot of drawings and the quality is incredible.

Love these pens!
I bought them at random when I was trying to get into sketching and watercolor. They write very smoothly, don't bleed when painted over with watercolor, and leave a very unique texture that is just what I was looking for. Will absolutely buy again if and when they eventually run dry.
