Great sprayer
Very happy with it. Ordered a larger paint holder for it which helps with not having to refill it as often.

WOW, worth every penny.....
I don't usually write reviews... but this time is different. I tend to buy high end tools, better value in the long run. Somehow got in my mind to buy the Graco airless. Was pricey, had buyers remorse for some time thinking I spent too much for a tool I had yet to use... and then....We needed a new shed. Almost bought one but we would have had to take down some trees to get a purchased one in place, etc... . Added plus, got to buy some new tools along the way, like a bostitch roofing nailer, also flawless.... Anyway, sided the shed with the more expensive T-111 siding.Took out the Graco and started spraying the Sherwin Williams solid stain.... I let the Mrs use the sprayer and I followed with a small roller for the times when she didn't move the gun fast enough. We painted the 12x16 shed two coats in a couple hours... wow.... Was a hot day so the stain was dry by the time we got around to the other side. As a comparison, at one point we had to piece in a 2'x8' T-111 on a corner. Tried to paint it with a roller... took forever. The T-111 siding is rather rough so just didn't go well. Seemed to use too much stain, took too much effort to get the stain into the rough surface... and it didn't get as good results. Repainted it with the sprayer... This sprayer is the best. Now use it for other various painting jobs... wow... great purchase. Conclusion: they could charge twice as much for the Graco and it would still be worth it... TIPS: keep the gun moving... it shoots quite a bit of paint (stain,etc).... And just make sure that you spend the time to clean it well after each use. Take the time.... Not sure if you are supposed to do this but I put the garden hose into the bottom pump opening and just spray the water through. I end the cleaning process by spraying a good amount of the pump armor through it. Turn the gun upside down and pour the pump armor into the pump with the pump on...You can buy a quart for a reasonable amount and should help to keep the pump working well.

Not for amateur painters
Unless you are familiar with paint sprayers do not waste your money. I had never used one of these before and wanted it for small projects around the house. The first time I used it I read and followed all of the instructions. It worked exactly one time. Turns out the paint I used wasn’t filtered enough, and it clogged at the end of my first use. I diligently cleaned it out repeatedly but could never clean it out enough for to ever start working again. Complete and utter waste of money, and this thing wasn’t cheap.

Freedom from the hose!
This sprayer has been a great investment. If you keep the insides clean and well maintained, this sprayer will continue to work well. The battery life lasts about an hour, which coincidentally is about a gallon of paint. I do have a battery on charging rotation just in case.

Awesome and EASY!
I’ve tried a few different compressor-based HVLP guns in the $20-$1000 price range, and for various reasons they just never quite did it for me to continue use using them. When I was on the hunt for a pro-level HVLP, I remembered about the Graco Cordless unit, and I’m ALL ABOUT THE CORDLESS. Poured through reviews and videos with pros and cons and decided to give t a shot before I spent twice and much (or more) on a turbine HVLP.After spraying 3 different tables so far, I have zero regrets! Is this gun going to replace an HVLP for really fine finishes? Maybe not. BUT - to me, the simplicity is absolutely game changing.Box to first paint job in 5 minutes and it came out great!Sprayed primers and Alkyd Enamels with the included 514 tip without thinning (just adjust the speed knob at the back), and am really very pleased! After a few uses and getting comfortable with the gun movement vs. gun speed setting, I kept getting better and better finishes! So far I’ve used this on furntiture but I love that I can use it for a variety of other things like wall paints, clear coats and and primers without having to worry much at all out mixing and thinning. For me, I would say the only real cons are that it pumps out a fair bit of paint, and that it’s a tad heavy. After a few minutes though, I got used to the weight and didn’t even notice, and I suspect further practice and tip experimentation might help (but not totally eliminate) the paint consumption. All in all, I’m super thrilled! In my continuing quest to get better at spraying I might still buy that Turbine system one day, but the ease of use of this gun and the finishes I’m getting really make me wonder if I’ll ever have a need.
