I knew the mouse was not my thing.
I got this for the keyboard. My scroll wheel gives me carpal tunnel so I needed an alt. Theys keys are a bit big in the center, but I love the stand it comes with. The keyboard works fantastic! The mouse... not so much.... it functions fine, but its ergonomics are more for a kid, and I don't have manly hands. So I bought the Zelotes instead. I needed a true vertical for these following reasons:-Needed a mouse that would take the strain off my tendons.- Wanted comfort.- Lots of surface area. The Perixx fails in those areas. With this mouse my wrist rests completely on the bone. Might be fine for a mousepad but I use a laptop and often use flat surfaces. Very uncomfy. My hand swallows the mouse. In the pics you can see my fingers come off the edge, which makes me have to curl my fingers to get good purchase. The other thing, is that if I dont curl my fingers, they drag on the tracking surface with adds more strain for my use. It'll make for a decent backup if my new one kicks the bucket, but I wont be using it otherwise. The other thing is that of all the gaming mice ive had, the light on this is the brighest ive ever had. It literally hurts my eyes when its reflecting off a surface. Best to keep this in mind if you are going for the mouse. The material its made of is slippery too, not grippy like the others in my photos. It feels kind of like velvet. It would suck for gaming. But it might be good for kids or more delicate hands.Get a real vertical mouse and not this 45 degree angle one if you are really in it for the comfort. This isn't what you may think.

Not Ergonomic
Good: Small footprint, split style, no attached numeric keypad (easy reach for mouse)Bad: Everything else. This is a cheap knockoff of the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard, but it is not ergonomic.Split keyboard ≠ ergonomic. Not even close to the comfort of the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard. i find myself constantly needing to backspace and retype keys. This is because the keys stick. Sometimes the shift key works and sometimes it does not. Keys stick depending on what angle you reach for the key. For example pressing a single key over and over works fine, but when you reach for the key from a different location it's behavior changes. Because of inconsistencies (due to super cheap quality) you cannot get used to the feel of the keyboard. The tendency is to stomp of each and every key in anticipation of its failure.*** THEY LITERALLY HAVE MADE A JOKE OF THE DEFINITION OF ERGONOMIC. ***I don't know who makes Perixx products, but they are a joke. By definition of ergonomic the keyboard must be comfortable to use and NOT CAUSE THE VERY PAIN I AM FEELING NOW USING IT TO TYPE THIS REVIEW.As others have stated, the keyboard does not fit your hands, it is not laid out properly, the key feel is terrible, and it literally hurts my wrist after 10 minutes of use.*** NOT FOR GAMING ***If used for gaming you will not have the control you need. Keys stick so you will miss the critical moment when an action needs to be applied.Option: If you need a compact ergonomic keyboard, get the Microsoft Sculpt L5V-00001.They are available on Amazon. The ratings don't even match the quality. If I had to rate these keyboards side by side, the Sculpt would get a 7 and the Perixx would get a zero. Why zero? Because it does not even begin to provide the very comfort it is advertised to achieve.DISCLAIMER: i have made hundreds of reviews on Amazon, but this product sits at the bottom as i cannot possibly emphasize my disappointment in quality. If they gave it to me for free I would simply throw it into the trash.

Feels "familiar" like the ms4000, but with bonus split space bar and TKL format
You're probably buying this because your work doesn't allow a wireless keyboard and you need a useable ten keyless form factor. Until the TKL MS sculpt has a wired version, this is the next best thing. After using this for 120 hours now, if you use the current MS ergo wired keyboards, the 4000 or LXM, this will feel familiar. Very happy with the purchase given how much I type.Pre-requisite: ergo posture...poor upper extremity posture will negate so many of the benefits, typically to rest shoulders, elbows at 90 * to 120* at sides, forearms parallel to ground or a bit declined. For instance, one has to know that it's not really ideal to use the decline riser if the working keyboard height is above the elbow at neutral because it'll cause you to shrug your shoulders and be uncomfortable to your forearms and wrist and likely cause unintended discomfort. That's not really the keyboard's fault.Pros:-ten key less! you can really center your keyboard and have room on either side for mouse without out that wasted space (that is, if you don't use the ten key)-accomplishes ergonomics by reducing ulnar deviation (pinky bending towards elbow) with a good size split, by reducing supination (forcing thumbs to horizontal) with the slight rise in the middle, and by reducing wrist extension (fingertips raised above wrist) with the removable decline insert. feels as good and natural as the many ergo keyboards i've used through the years.- split space bars usually take so much less key force to depress than a single one. The MS 4000 was notorious for having a difficult space bar. Plus it's a flatter space bar profile.- good key spacing for the most part, low learning curve.- not clacky like the ms 4000, but not particularly quiet either.- page nav keys are in one vertical column, which i found natural.Cons:- not backlit- the chiclet keys are super flat and slick. I'm used to DSA profile keys with a scooped middle which really helps your fingers to securely land. Even my laptop has somewhat of a scooped key. I got used to this after a while, but it's more of tolerating it vs. enjoying the flat keys. I'd say it's more of a neutral con then a true negative. I notice it but not bothered by it.- extended plastic wristpad stays cleaner than the cloth or leather pads, but is not particularly enjoyable. it's not uncomfortable at all, but I had been using a gel keyboard palm rest for a straight keyboard and the comfort difference is huge.- the right shift key is 2/3 of normal, so it takes a bit to not overshoot it. luckily the next key is the up arrow, which is relatively harmless. It's easy to get used to it.The middle scroll is a bit useless, which is why many ergo keyboards ditched those. I wish it could be tied to volume or scrolling tabs without 3rd party software. For the price, you can't go wrong. Plus, the mouse it comes with is light, smooth matte finish, and has forward backwards nav buttons and has the standard ergo angle that keeps the wrist from getting smashed, but I don't use it in lieu of a trackball.Very happy with the purchase. If they ever go with a backlit version with softer palm pad and DSA style scooped keys, I'd pay extra for it.
