Pretty good overall 3.5 stars out of 5
Easy assembly, it took me and my friend 2 hours to assemble. Make sure that when your assembling you have the right parts in the exact spot bc ladder placement. We accidentally switched the two bottom side rails and had to quickly switch them around once we noticed. As others have noted this product does have an awful smell that lingers, we’ve had this product set up for 3 days and i can still smell it upon entering the room even w the windows open. After assembly I got on the top bunk to do a safety test to make sure it was sturdy before my kids used it. Although it did hold me just fine while lying down ( 170lbs) , when I got on the bed the pressure from me mounting the bed in a kneeling position caused the slat underneath me to make some sketchy cracking noise. As others have noted I added an extra set of slats to the top bunk. I had them from our old bed, but if your buying this I suggest ordering an extra set of slats and doubling up top.Lastly, the side rails of the bed have weirdly sharp edges. The entire bed actually had sharp edges. I wish they were more “rounded” edges on the wood pieces. My 4 y/o can get up using the awkward ladder just fine, and I love that I can kiss her goodnight on the on the top bunk very easily without having to climb it

Great for younger children
I have a 4 year old and 2 year old that has been wanting bunk beds. Wife and I were overall nervous getting a regular height bunk bed, so this size was so much more comfortable for us to work with. I assembled it myself and it took about 3-4 hours with both of my kids "helping" me and getting parts mixed up. Overall a great experience doing this with them! The kids love it.I noticed it does get scratched fairly easily if anything bumps into it. Have a few already in a month, but expected with 2 boy toddlers!

Love it
My 6yo sleeps on bottom and 8yo on top. Do not use a box spring regardless of how small the box spring is. It will limit space on bottom bunk badly. My kids love it and I find it very easy to move away from the wall to make the beads easier. Most of these types of beds are too heavy to move after assembly. This bed is heavy but not too heavy to move for help in cleaning.

So far so good
So far so good. I like the fact it is low to the ground because my 5 yr old moves a lot. It helps that if he moved and fell out he would only fall 5 inches, that's with mattress, off the ground. This is him bottom bed.He hasn't yet. Also, with furniture awareness and I hope for all parents out there, cheap furniture can hurt kids. I watched broken on Netflix and it talks about the malm dresser falling on little kids. Malm dressers from ikea. Very sad because furniture should be stable not cheaply made with particle board. Furniture should be made well and last forever ,meaning, passing it to your kids and then passing it to their kids. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford great furniture so people have to get cheaply made stuff to get modern and good looking furniture. I had to look here to make sure what it's made of. I did before I bought that it's real wood. I had to double check because I forgot. I wouldn't have made a purchase if it wasn't. Unfortunately my little guy kicked one of the slats a few times because he was being a brat. He actually loosened one side of a bracket but not breaking it. I screwed it back on. My older kid who is 120 lbs sleep on top. He doesnt move much and no one jumps on top obviously for safety reasons. I had to shake it just to make sure that stability is good. It is and hopefully it stays that way and also I checked the screws to make sure they aren't loose. I did purchase this in April this year. So far so good. Will make updates if there's anything wrong.

Great customer service
We knew we weren't buying top of the line, but our kids love the bed anyway. The sturdiness of the slats is an issue though. Kids want to jump on beds, plain and simple. You tell them no, but they do it anyway. Literally, one good bounce within a minute of the bed being set up and we ended up with a broken slat on the top bunk. The crazy thing was that I contacted Walker Edison to see if they'd replace the broken slat, and they replaced the ENTIRE bed for us. I was shocked. My advice though is to add some sturdy boards in between the slats, regardless of WH's great customer service. It's just better not to have to deal with it.Here are the slat specs if you're so inclined: 39-1/8" long. There's 2.5" (with clearance) spacing between each slat.Quality: 3.5 starsCustomer Service: 5 starsWould I buy again? Yeah, but it's complicated
