High-quality, very comfortable for walking and all day wear
Husband loves these. He’s now bought two different colors. He likes a shoe with a stiffer toe box but not too stiff. He has some arthritis in his big toes so he wants a shoe to combine flexibility with stability. The toe box on these is great, not too narrow or too wide. They have nice thick tread, a wider sole, and provide good stability while walking. Never a blister and no issues with breaking them in. He pulls them out of the box and puts them on. Instantly comfortable. We have not tested how waterproof they are. We wish they offered more color choices, but did not take off a star for that. Recommended for walking and everyday life. We are not hikers so cannot attest to how they would handle serious terrain.

Great Shoe!
Before I purchased this shoe on Amazon, I had been trying on different brands and styles of shoes at various stores. I knew I wanted something built with good materials that would last me several years, look good with a variety of different clothing options, and work well for a wide variety of activities including hiking, working out, walking around all day, etc., and also at a good price. I'm not a fan of spending tons of money on several different pairs of shoes tailored to each individual activity. I found a pair of these at a store and really liked how they looked and fit. My foot fits well in the size I purchased, and there is some arch support as well, but not overpowering. I've never has a pair of Merrell's before, but they're known for good quality and these shoes look and feel like good quality. They have real leather, thick tractiony soles, an agressive look, and tons of color options. I've worn them for a couple of weeks and they feel great. The best part was the price. At the store I tried them on at, they cost $120. Then I checked on Amazon and they had my size for under $60. I noticed the price was different depending on size, and possibly color, with some of them costing as much as $120. I'm not sure why this is. You might want to select different options before purchasing to see if one size or color is a better price. They are also probably a bit heavy for people that want something really light for running or working out, but for me it just makes my workout a little more challenging. It's not supposed to be easy, right? Other than that, there were a couple of other little issues I should mention. For some reason, the shoe I got looked like a lighter shade than what was pictured. Then I held the shoe up next to the picture, and they looked the same color. It may be that the pictures were taken under different lighting conditions that made them seem a bit darker, I don't know, but I've seen other reviews that say the color is different, and I thought so too until I held them right next to each other. A trick of the mind. The last issue is size, and this is the most important. I'm glad I tried them on at a store first, because I generally wear a 10-1/2, sometimes an 11. At the store I needed an 11-1/2, but they fit perfectly! I ordered an 11-1/2, and again they fit perfectly. So I would probably order one size large if you want them to fit. On a last note, I liked these so much that I ordered another pair of a different color. I felt like these were such a great shoe at such a great price, it was well worth it to have a second pair. These will probably last me a good 10 years between the two.

Great shoes for outdoor activity
I had previously had the women's version, but they were unavailable when needed. These are nice, rugged, firm, and supportive. I ditched the lousy insoles for a softer, thicker insole. These are my daily drivers and I hike, work, and do chores in these. Comfortable while still supportive and aggressive traction for snow, mud, and other debris. Very happy with these.

Reasonably comfortable and stable hiking sneakers.
I purchased these to replace my all time favorite, the Columbia Crestwood men's hiking boots (really sneakers) in size 11. The difference between the two, as far as I can tell, the Merrell has the excellent Vibram soles and has considerably more padding inside than the Columbia sneakers. So they feel different, the Columbia is more comfortable as it fits smoothly without pressing on the foot. But the Merrell seems to be built a bit better.

Love These Boots
High quality product and excellent fit. Can be tough to find an affordable hiking shoe in wide width so was pleased when I realized Merrell, a quality brand, offered a wide fit option. Very comfortable, even after a long day’s hike. Purchased for a four month trip to Europe and they are still as comfortable after 4 months as the first day. Thick soles with great grip/traction. The only negative is they are bulky so they took up a lot of space in luggage. Regardless, I would definitely buy again.

Boss a** shoes
Every single time I put these on, it feels like I'm taking a powerful relic and attaching them to my feet. These are possibly the most epic shoes/boots I've ever slipped on. Had to get my own waterproofing spray, but that was one, very small, downside. The traction after the first couple days of breaking it in is phenomenal, they fit snug on my feet, has great arch support from the start, are extremely durable, and they just look so fine. The Merrel Moab 3 is a monumental shoe.

Hard to Explain How Impressed I Am
Let me start by saying that I am very particular about shoes and boots. I have unusually shaped, wide feet, which means I have the hardest time finding footwear that I not only like but are comfortable. I usually have to put everything I buy on a boot stretcher just so my foot fits in them right (I also have to put new insoles in everything). A lot of the guys at work wear Merrel and I figured I'd give them a shot. When I say these shoes are amazing, comfortable, and look good on my feet, it's no small statement for me. These shoes fit comfortably right out of the box! I can't remember the last brand (that wasn't a flexible/stretchy running shoe) for which I could say that! I highly recommend them to anyone who has problems finding the right shoe for their feet. For reference, I am 5' 10", 210 lbs, and my usual size is 12 W or Extra Wide. I got them in size 12 wide, and I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Second Pair – Proven Durability & Comfort After Break-In
This is my second pair of Merrell Moabs. My first pair was the Moab 2, and they lasted me 5 years before I finally decided to replace them — which says a lot about the durability. Because of that experience, I didn’t hesitate to go with the Moab 3 Low. Out of the box, they felt supportive and well-built, but they really started to shine after a few days of wear. The sole gradually molded to my foot and became noticeably more comfortable, so there is definitely a short break-in period — but it’s completely normal and worth it. One quick tip: at first I noticed a little rubbing from the laces across the top of my foot. I realized it was just from uneven tension when I laced them up. Once I tightened the laces evenly from bottom to top, the issue completely went away. Take a second to lace them properly when you put them on and you shouldn’t have any problems. They’re stable, supportive, and feel durable — great for everyday wear and light hiking. Based on my experience with both the Moab 2 and now the Moab 3, I’d absolutely buy them again.
