Just what I needed to fix a 5 year old impact driver. The picture is not quite correct, the wires come attached to the plastic brush holder plate. Pay close attention to how everything comes apart. The wires need to be cut to length and soldered to the trigger switch. There is very little room for error here. The wires are stiff and wind around the frame in very tight spaces. If you are not the patient type, this may not be for you. After what I thought was a good reassembly the gun did not work and I had to take things apart again to find the problem. I had the brush plate a bit out of place, not much but enough to create a bind with the wire armature. After relocating it, I assembled the gun minus the impact section for testing, yes, you can run the motor minus the metal impact assembly, and it spun up just as it should. The impact end is held on with 4 screws and is easily reattached. So, if you have to hit your drill/impact to get it to work, you probably need new brushes like I did. take your time and spend $13 bucks instead of $100 or more for a new tool.

Works fine as the replacement. Soldering required. A bit of a challenge to fit the wires back into the case and requires a little patience and attention to detail.

It took longer than I thought to switch it out but finely got it. Just had to make sure everything is lined up before putting it together. Used it all day the next day and it worked great.

Fit perfect first time, impact driver worked like it was brand new. Product arrived in two days.

Got our Milwaukee impact back up and running after years of heavy duty service in the automotive industry, worked great exactly as advertised, and a great by! Saved a lot of money over purchasing a brand new quarter inch impact gun. Would definitely purchase again, if needed.
