Clip On Magnifier

bought these to try to get rid of carrying two pairs of glasses for my sad to say old eyeballs.the 3x was just too much clipped onto my hat brim. I use 1.5x for close up stuff and these made my eyes go cross eyed, but that being said they are very well made and I would use them for sure for close up fly tying or really close in detail work.

It’s a nice magnifier. BUT. It would be easier to use if it would fold back up out of the way forward not backwards towards your face. If my visor was any shorter the thing would hit my forehead. Also the lens was a bit scuffed up from sliding arm in the factory plastic bag.

Looking for a handy tool for tying very small flies? As I was getting older my eyes weren't sharp as they were. Tying 18 size or smaller flies on to my tippit was a hassle. With this clip on magnifying glasses it's a quick job. I just clip this on my shoulder pad of fishpond sling pack. I can adjust the angle of the head and get the best sight of the flies and tippit. Definitely a useful product for any fly fishers getting older and have difficult tying small flies

This magnifier should be a lifesaver out on the stream. I have not used it fishing yet, but plan to this week. I just wish it had a way to secure it to my fishing vest, as if the clip popped off, the magnifier would be lost in the river.

I’ve fly fished for 25 years and used every possible gadget there is. This tops them all. It’s a robust, well designed magnifier with a very strong clip. The lens is also quite powerful. With my declining eyesight, the Magnifly has been a life saver. Buy a couple and rig them on your favorite sling or chest pack. You’ll love it.
