Vinny the Vaquita Hardcover – Illustrated, 11 March 2016

My daughter and I recently learned about the plight of the vaquitas. She is 9 years old and very interested in the welfare of marine life. This is book is a great way for children to learn about this important issue!

My son's name is Vinny and he only recently learned about Vaquitas so it was a must have this Christmas. The story was cute, and it did highlight the plight of the Vaquita, which is the most endagered marine mammal in a way that young children could handle. I wasn't crazy about the artwork in the book, but it did not seem to bother my son, and their is so little Vaquita stuff available that I consider It a great find.

This is a scary book! I didn't know what would happen! There is much adventure to be had in these pages -- and how many books do you know that are written and drawn by a mother-son team? I don't think there are too many! Obviously, the topic is of utmost importance!

As a former first grade teacher, I was impressed with the contents of this children's book, which is both entertaining and educational. A child just starting to read would learn a lot and feel a real sense of accomplishment. The book has many illustrations about these aquatic animals. It would be a great book for a school library or addition to a classroom

Probably for an advanced 6 - 7 year old reader.
