I like grits with breakfast and a single serving involves exactly 1/4 cup of dry grits. My measuring cups provided, at best, an approximation of 1/4 cup. So I literally bought this measuring cup just to measure a single serving's worth of grits. To my surprise, it turned out to be a really well-made, versatile little measuring cup. Sturdy stainless, sturdy handle that's tack-welded to the outside of the cup (no rivets to keep clean on the inside). And--bonus--filling dry grits to even with the top of the cup then adding to 8 oz of boiling water results in a perfect serving of grits.

Sturdy and well made. Great price for this little gem. I use it to scoop dry cat food and it has a nice long handle.

Purchased for 1.5 cup servings of dog food. It’s such a simple thing, but has really made feeding my dogs so much easier. It’s great to be able to just have one scoop. It seems like a great quality and does what I need it to do.

We have a smoked plastic coffee container, and I bought this to have a more attractive coffee scoop than a plastic measuring cup. It is indeed a half cup, and stainless. In months of use, there isn't a spot of rust.
