No, it’s not 16” so hitting 2 studs is tricky, you can get the center hole on a stud with the supplied lag bolt and then use the drywall anchors on the sides. Mine is easily supporting 100+lbs. great for a compact space

This does a good job for doing what it says it does, i.e., hang miscellaneous fitness equipment, e.g., curl bar, pulldown bars, belts, etc. Anything that isn't too heavy that can be hung. It is NOT for hanging full-sized olympic bars. I knocked a star off because the hanging hardware that is provided is sketchy and I ended up using my own. You'll want to do the same.
