What can you do with that black shoehorn stick with a S shaped hook?

This rigid shoehorn & dressing stick can be easily separated into 3 parts by twisting the smooth internal screws thread, a good helper for independent dressing :)

Does this kit include something like a sleeve to put over knee when you shower?

No, sleeves are not included. There are several knee sleaves in the market, but these items are also great for knee replacement.

Is the dressing stick sturdy enough for a heavy coat?

Yes, it is firmly designed for a lifetime use. This stick is made of hard plastic and you can assembly it by rotating the shorter sticks on the screw threads, which made it long and strong enough to move most of the clothes.

Can I get any paper instructions?

Paper instructions should be with the items. Would be inside another sealed plastic bag. Shows pictures and words to explain how to use each item. The grabber takes a couple batteries for the led light to work, it just folds.... the 3 piece item you assemble is a combo shoe horn and 2 hooks. One would be to take off shoes or socks, the other side helps pick up your shirt from being the shoulder. The black strap with a soft fabric loop and a metal more firm loop is to help bring your leg up if you recline or lie down. The white half pipe is to put socks on. Slide the sock over the end, stick your foot in and shorten the ropes on each side to your needed length to a complete the task. A black storage bag, and finally a loofa on a stick to help.wash legs while in a shower chair or your back. I hope that I have made understanding what each item does a little easier.

Great purchase for after you have hip surgery

It was kind of a shock to me when I found out that I had to have my right hip replaced. So, in an attempt to be completely ready I ordered this set. One item in particular was very helpful. When it is all screwed together in the order they were intended to be used, one end was very helpful in taking off the sock on the foot where the hip was replaced and the other end has a shoe horn to help slide my foot into a moccasin that I wear around the house. After 4 months, I've put nearly everything back in the bag that it came in except for the long device with a shoe horn on it. I still need it when I put on some new tennis shoes that I haven't had long enough to break in.

Handy post op kit

I bought this in anticipation of hip surgery. In the old days used to get these items preop from physical therapy preop. Oh, well. Decided I needed to help myself. Not overly priced for number of items. There a dressing with a hook on one end and handy shoe horn on the other end. This is made of a sturdy plastic. The sock helper is helpful when not able to bend down to put on sock. The fluffy washer on a wooden stick has come in handy, easy take a shower post op without compromising hip surgery. There is a "leg mover" which I didn't need but is helpful to get in and out of car, bed etc. It is sturdy. My favorite item is the grabber, quite an improvement over ones of years gone by. Very sturdy with the business end able to pick up just about anything precisely. This is vital to use to avoid hip dislocation. And everything seems to fall to the floor when you can't bend over to pick it up. So grateful I have this. I suspect I will use this way into the future for other purposes such as spring cleanup outside or getting things from upper cabinets. All most forgot to mention this comes with a nice nylon bag to store everything until needed again. I would reccomend this kit for post op surgery.

Brilliant

I brought this kit to help me recover from a hip operation. The kit is brilliant. I brought another grabber from a recommended health aid supplier and it is no where as good as the one in this kit. The sock pull is also amazing.

Helpful in time of need.

This set came in handy when I had neck issues. The tools are easy to use and helped me to prepare for my day.
