Would be great if it worked
Good quality but the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting for the surface pro 8

My Microsoft Surface Keyboard just stopped working few weeks back and of course, it was not repairable. 🙄 As I was looking for a replacement, this keyboard came up and with $50 price, it seemed no brainer. Although the negative reviews around Bluetooth kept me on the sidelines for a while, but I took the plunge. And I must say one of the better buying decisions I made. My Surface Pro 8 is completely transformed into a laptop with this. The keyboard is better than my M2 MacBook and trackpad is one of the better Windows track pads (not as great as MacBook's). Bluetooth connectivity goes away after a few hours/ days of sleep, but it comes back with Fn+Power combo. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

The first unit I received had issues connecting with bluetooth. After getting a replacement the bluetooth is fine, and typing is fine but the trackpad lags and randomly stops tracking constantly. If that worked it'd be perfect but it makes it completely unusable as a keyboard, I've tried multiple steps given by support to resolve the issue including completely resetting my OS, updating my system drivers, and many other steps. This should not be this horrible, I've gotten perfect trackpad usage from cheap $20 keyboards and it's completely unacceptable here. The build quality feels amazing, it feels durable, just the actual usage absolutely is the worst product I've ever used for a mouse.

I was hesitant to purchase this product due to the many negative reviews, specifically regarding the battery life and the Bluetooth connectivity. I have had this product for 4 days and have used it quite a bit for work and personal use. My feedback is as follows: 1) So far, I have not had any connectivity issues. When my Surface goes to sleep, whether it's for one hour or 12 hours, the keyboard wakes up at the stroke of a key, and the Bluetooth connection resumes seamlessly without issue. Perhaps they resolved the issue that others have complained about. 2) Installation is incredibly easy, the Surface fits perfectly into the device, and it functions precisely as you would hope it would. It feels completely like a regular laptop. 3) The keys feel good, easy to type on, reasonably quiet. 4) The trackpad is average at best. The "click" feels and sounds cheap but it works. The track pad isn't as fluid as the Surface typecover's trackpad - the cursor is a little jumpy, but it works just fine. 5) The battery life seems to be just fine so far. I charged it to 100% after unboxing and before first use. That was 96 hours ago and it's currently at 92% battery life. I would estimate about 8-10 hours of use in that 96 hour timeframe. Based on this sample size, I would imagine I will have to recharge the device a couple times a month, which is no big deal at all. Conclusion: I am extremely pleased with my purchase. This product looks and functions exactly as I had hoped it would. I only wish I had bought it sooner.

Absolutely fantastic keyboard. When I bought this brand new years ago, it was $150! But completely worth it because it handles all of the usual Microsoft Office hotkeys. This increases my efficiency. For the price today at 1/3 or less of the original cost, it's totally worth it. Unfortunately, it no longer receives updates and I do have an issue with my Bluetooth. I have to re-search and re-link it every time I use it. Then I have to delete/"forget" it from the list since I get dozens of connections after days of use. There is no way to fix/resolve this since the software is no longer supported. But aside from this inconvenience, it works very well. I use this for my laptop - not for my tablet. I do not need the hinges on the corners. It's very easy to remove those hinges; however, without them, the corner is very sharp. I used gorilla tape to create some "bumpers" so I can carry this in my laptop case.

This keyboard DOES work with the Asus ProArt PZ13. If you have the PZ13 you're probably looking for an alternative to the wobbly stock keyboard so that you can actually use your laptop on your lap. This keyboard works. It's not a perfect fit but it definitely works. The screen is a bit heavier than the keyboard, so it's a bit top heavy, but thats only a possible issue if you're using it on a flat surface with the screen angled back. Fortunately, the magnetic back with the kick stand flap thingy (and the pen holder) will still attach even with the keyboard on, so even this isn't really an issue. The keyboard connects with Bluetooth. I've been using it for over a week and I've never had to reconnect or had any connectivity issues. The only thing to remember is that there's not an open/close sensor, so make sure you tap the power button on the laptop before you close it. The keyboard automatically goes into a power saving mode so I haven't seen a need to worry about charging. It also charges with USB-C. I used the laptop charger and didn't have any issues. Slide the keyboard on when the screen is off so the pressure of the tabs doesn't trigger the touch sensor.
