Good quality.
I used this soldering tip to install a new ribbon on my cluster display. It worked well but I have to advise that when using a 60w soldering iron it'll melt rubber strip it comes with (which is why it comes with several inches of it). If you have adjustable soldering iron or use a 60w less than 5-10 min. you can avoid melting it. But still this product gets 5 stars. There are some really bad t tips on the market, this isn't one of them.

Works great but hard to fit in, hard to clean out, rubber doesn't last long
Does it's job fine but rubber is very hard to fit in the grooves, doesn't last very long, hard to clean out of grooves when you need to change it. Really wish the rubber was made of something that would last longer like silicone and fitment was better.

Great, simple product. Make sure your iron will accept it, and it will work great.
Product worked perfectly in my variable wattage Radio Shack soldering iron, but not in all my soldering irons (i.e. screw-on tips) . Make sure your iron will accept about a 5mm round dowel, lock it in place with the iron's set screws, and you are good to go. My ribbon cables needed 40-watts, but yours may vary.

may require slight modification to fit
Works great. The post was slightly bigger than the receiver on my soldering iron, but I was able to file it down to fit.

T-tip for soldering iron
Needed this T-tip to bond printed circuit ribbons to chips and circuit board on Mercedes dash cluster. Used in a Weller 40w iron. Worked great.

NONSTANDARD TIP
WATCH OUT!In order for this tip to work I just spent many nights grinding down the shaft [see image of product with my hack job grind down of shaft] to fit into my oldest solder iron. But it is not a temperature adjustable one...DOES NOT FIT AMAZON suggested irons that have a ceramic heating core! Those irons require a hollow tip with a step up in diameter! And I bought a new iron from Amazon JUST FOR this project! See image with cord in it.Might fit butane iron if you have tap & die set! See example image of just screw in tip & holder.I will update this review after I (hopefully) finish fixing my BMW speedometer & odometer. If it works I will improve my rating but for all the hassle & what is becoming more common bad info from Amazon lately already; at most to 4!But to repeat I'm using an old one temp iron that I'm affraid is too hot. Maybe I can unplug it first to reduce temp?

A tip for this tip
Make sure that your soldering iron supports this tip. Read the description carefully. You may need to buy another soldering iron in order to fit the tip inside the iron
