Don’t hold up
As I sit here stitching the chair back together, again, I felt the need to write a review. We bought two of these chairs and loved them! My husband is a big man and he found these to be the most comfortable lawn chair he had ever used. They are light weight, easy to set up and take down, and very sturdy! Fast forward two years, the stitching on one side of the seat on one chair gave out after using it probably a dozen times. Trying to find someone to sew it back together proved impossible, even the local canvas shop couldn’t do it because no machine can reach the seat. So after running around for the whole summer I hand stitched it back together😩 not the easiest job! We have now had our chairs for 5 years and I am sewing the last of the 4 side seat seams. The chairs both sat in the garage all year last year because I got tired of messing with them. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to stitch them up. I think it would have made a difference if the maker would have used a different kind of thread in the first place.Great chair if the stitching would have held.

Is the most comfortable chair I've used
I sit outside and paint sometimes for hours, and I have been using a great cheap old lawn chair that's pretty comfortable. But it's getting saggy, and it isn't so comfortable for really long painting sessions. So I thought I'd upgrade. Initially, the seats seemed like it might too unyielding for sitting several hours to paint, but it is extremely comfortable without a cushion, and the chair is very sturdy. I bought a UV protecting umbrella and attach it with bungie cords, and I'm so happy. I'm protected from the sun and the rain, and feel comfortable sitting for as long as I need to. The chair weighs a little bit more than the aluminum/nylon strap lawn chair, but this is good for stability if I want to get up while the 48" umbrella is still on.As one reviewer said, the rubber arms stink. However, I only noticed this when I had it inside the house, and the smell appears to be dissipating. When I need to carry it anywhere when I'm not using my cart, I've attached an old duffle bag strap to the arms (or one could use a wide ribbon) so I can just throw it on my shoulder. I use a Rio Sun Blocker Beach Umbrella (tilting 6') and a Ram Umbrella Holder and Clamp (better known as a rod holder - Ram Tube 2008), has a ball joint that allows almost any position and is very sturdy). My days of jury rigging are over. :)

Comfortable and Large Director's Style Chair
This chair is large and comfortable and comes with the useful side tray and a really nice little back pack bag that will organize and accomodate day trips to the outdoors or keep your remote controls and magazines right on the chair, but can be released and worn as a back pack or brief case style.Since I just got it I cannot speak to its durability but the construction seems solid and is tubular metal and well riveted and once again very comfortable.ADDENDUM:I have been using this chair now for a full week sitting my 440 lb frame on it for several hours a day and getting up and sitting down on it through that time and it is capable of sustaining my weight comfortably and securely and my oversized 5'10" frame fits in it quite comfortably. I did put seat cushion on it but it is also comfortable without it. I recomend this oversized and very sturdy tubular metal, folding chair with side table to all of those oversized or obease people out there looking for a reliable and comfortable folding chair that can easily be stored in a regular size trunk or back seat of a compact car or used as a chair at home or for the balcony or porch since it is not going to rust and is canvas seating.

Great for a big person
I have finally found a chair that feels both comfortable and safe for my 270 lb body!I can actually push on the arms to stand up and it doesn't threaten to collapse. I use this on my concrete poarch and it doesn't skid when I get up. The covered arms are comfortable and I don't feel any pressure from the bars on my legs. There is plenty of hip room too. The folding side table is very nice and also substantial. It comes with a cooler bag thingie attached which I have no use for, but seems very nicely designed.I have a bad back and the solid back needs a pillow for me to be comfortable...a director's chair back is more comfortable but those chairs aren't as big or well made. all in all, at 270 lbs and 5'10 I think this is the safest, most comfortable chair I've found. If it were for camping etc, it would be too heavy for me to carry, but I'd have my boyfriend do it :-) so not a real problem!

Finally I don't feel like I'm sinking into the earth
First camping chair that I feel comfortable sitting in. Have to get another one, though, as this one will live at my son's house for me to have at the outdoor parties.Like someone else said, the seat depth is a bit more than my backside to thigh to knee bend length, but add a pillow and it works great. I'll take that any day so I can get the width and solid feeling this chair provides. It is the proper height so getting up is not putting "doing squats" strain on my old knees. It is very light weight so I can carry it easily from spot to spot at camp.

Junk chairs!
I bought two of these chairs. Both of the chairs I purchased have torn at the seams on the bottom of the chairs (same place). Both of these chairs were used abou seven times. I took these chairs to two different upholstery shops for elvaluation they said the stitching was nylon cotton and should have been just nylon. Also the stitching spacing is to close and causes poor strength. The chairs I bought are worthless because it costs more to repair them.

Fabulous Travel Chair
This chair was perfect. My husband has had 2 knee replacements and is great for him to get up and out of with no trouble. It sits up straight with a slightly higher back, is comfortable, lightweight, folds flat, is plenty wide to be more comfortable, and is constructed well. He loves the table that folds up or down. The removable bag attachment will be perfect for travel to a beach or park. We both have been extremely happy with this chair.. A great Father's Day surprise.
