Works great
Exact match. Alot cheaper than local auto part stores. Works like it's suppose to.

Fixed my Mazda 6 starting issues and erratic shifting
My Mazda 6 started to experience a push button no crank/no start condition that would occasionally start when the shifter was put in neutral. Eventually it stopped cranking altogether. Prior to this I also noticed erratic shifting/flare while driving without explanation. I also noticed the PRNDL indicator was not lighting up properly and suspected this was the culprit. I installed the new TR sensor and it fixed both the starting issues and the erratic shifting. We'll see how long this one lasts and I'll update if it stops working similar as the one I just replaced.

It works so far
It did illuminate a serious driving issue with the transmission and gears as the car would switch out of gears in many ways. After about 1000 miles, it is still good to go 2010 mazda 3 2.5 auto

Buy the Mazda OEM switch, not Dorman
There is something wrong with the design of this Dorman switch. The original switch in my Mazda worked for 10 years and 192k miles. In an attempt to solve an unrelated problem, I replaced it with this Dorman switch. About 5k miles later, the "D" light on my dashboard started going off intermittently and transmission would hesitate. I could clear it for a little while by shifting into neutral and back into drive on the fly. This told me that the switch was not making contact correctly causing the transmission to think the shifter was moved out of drive. I replaced the switch again with the same Dorman part (a mistake). Not long after, the "D" light would go out intermittently just like before. I finally replaced the Dorman switch with an OEM switch from Mazda. All is good now, no issues. Do yourself a favor and buy the Mazda OEM switch the first time. It's about twice the price but well worth avoiding the headaches from an inferior part. UPDATE: Almost one year later and the OEM Mazda part is still working perfectly. Avoid this inferior Dorman part!

Sadly, only lasted about 3 months and the issue actually got much worse. Mechanic had to adjust it 3 times and when done lasts about 4 days and car goes back to not staying I the proper position…
