Living in a large metropolitan city with water pipes as old as Babylon, i decided to get this, and i've had mine for 8 years. My municipal water has PFA'S sadly. The design is now a bit different tho and the cartridges are WAY different, so I hope i can keep getting replacement filters going forward..or if the new filters fit my older model? I dont know.I use regular tap water OR often i'll even buy the best bottled water i can afford and run that thru this filtered pitcher. I do give this filtered water to my 2 dogs too, so we go thru ALOT of EHM filtered water.Someone in my house accidentally let the lid slide under my toaster oven so it melted and no longer fits. The filter usage meter on top no longer functions as a result ...but when it was working, it was great. I change filter about every 3 months.Don't know if it REALLY removes PFA'S or forever chemicals. I'd need to have a water test and i've no clue how to. When pitcher is full its pretty heavy. I DO NOT like that I cannot pour water out into a glass while theres still water in resorvoir filtering down into pitcher, because of spillover effect. BUT, when resorvoir is completely full, it only takes 5 minutes to trickle down (get filtered)....so theres no spillover from unfiltered water in resorvoir into my glass.All in all i'd say im pretty happy with my EHM. But next time i'm buying a more expensive one that has clear data on PFA removal and since the filters are now different.

I'm a tough bird to please, but my better half, Lil (Lillian), says water tastes MUCH BETTER when coming from one of your pitchers. How's that for a pitch?

So far so good. It was very easy to set up. Certainly less expensive than purchasing bottles of alkaline water that may not have alkaline. I tested the alkaline in my tap water and it is 8. After filtering my tap water through the alkaline pitcher, it was also 8. We do not refrigerate our water pitcher as we like our water room temperature. Enjoy.

I am a physician, and have researched the value of alkaline water extensively. However, most alkaline water is only available in plastic 1 liter bottles, which makes them expensive to consume in quantity. When I learned of the EHM Ultra Premium Alkaline Water Pitcher, at such a reasonable price, I ordered it immediately. Now, my town's water supply is actually very good in it's purity and taste... or so I thought. The pitcher was easy to set up with clear directions. Right from the start I could easily taste the difference. The taste reminded me of the best of the store bought plastic bottled alkaline water, and directly comparing my tap water to this filtered water revealed the obvious superiority of using this product. Although I did not have ph paper to check for the change in alkalinity, I then smelled the tap water, and there was a definite smell of chlorine. The filtered water had no such odor, and the product states that both lead and chlorine are among the elements filtered out. The only cautions I would add is not to overfill it, as this puts pressure on the lid, causing some leakage when pouring. Also, the recommendations for filter replacement are after a certain number of liters of water filtered, or a time period. I would suggest, since it is difficult to keep up with the amount filtered as I used it for all of my drinking or cooking water, is that there be included a simple label to write on which could stick to the pitcher, and have the date of the filter installation readily visible in order to order a replacement in a timely manner. In summary, for both taste, and health (helping to neutralize our very acidic diets, which increases the absorption of important nutrients as well as a large number of medications), I have given the product a 5 star recommendation. It is well made, durable, and the filtering process is quite rapid.

I started drinking alkaline water a couple of years ago and it's making a difference in my health. But I was spending a lot of money on alkaline water and generating a lot of plastic waste. Took care of both issues by purchasing this EHM Alkaline filter. Great purchase.
