Westmed Super Soft Nasal Cannula 7' TUBING - 0556 - Pack of 10

I am on oxygen therapy the better part of 24/7 and my ears get rubbed raw from where the cannula rides behind the ear. I had a cannula the last time I was in the hospital that was made of a very soft thin rubber that was wonderful. When I found these on Amazon I ordered immediately. Theo do have a slight odor when you first take them from the bag but it disappears within an hour. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I found that (unlike the one I had in the hospital) they tend to get harder (lose their softness) after a couple of weeks. The price is cheap enough that you can really afford to replace them every ten days but it seems to me that you should not have to.

For the 10 years or so Mom has been using oxygen, we thought all cannulas were about the same. During a recent surgical procedure she was fitted with a cannula similar to these. She raved about how much more comfortable they were. These appear to be identical to the one she brought home from the hospital and are just as comfortable. Very nice!When the package was first opened there was a slight odor, but certainly nothing "horrible" and I have a very good sense of smell. I just left the cannula out on the table overnight and by morning the smell was gone. I would never let her use a cannula that appeared to be giving off chemical fumes, or required boiling first, no matter how soft it was.

TOO SOFT

I've been using 02 24/7 for almost 7 years now. I've tried all sorts of products and fixes to protect my ears but they remained constantly raw and sore.Then I heard about this product. Instead of hard plastic that sets into a shape, these feel like gummy worms! They are very soft and every time you remove them they fall straight down, the never retain a shape. My ears finally don't hurt and even the big dent in my cheek is gone.The part that goes in your nose is the regular plastic, and it doesn't have that flap tab if you know what I mean.The tube part that goes around your face is narrower than the other style, but I'm on 5lpm and it handles it just fine. The remainder of the tubing is regular plastic.I use a CPAP at night but I do nap with this cannula in place and it's never once fallen off. The other kind, once it takes a shape, would always fall off.A great product that really made a difference for me.

The noise piece is not that soft so when winter comes it's going to be hard and hurt the noise.I know if the work on it .It can be soft.

I'm on oxygen and I just hate it due to the stiffness of the Nasal Cannula that I was using. I felt claustrophic, like I was being chocked all the time and would get so frustrated I'd go without. My nose would get sore as well and it was hard to feel comfortable wearing it. I seen this add for Westmed Super Soft Nasal Cannula and read up on it and decided to give it a try. A whole new world has opened up for me. It doesn't even feel like I'm wearing anything at all. Most of all my stress from having to use the oxygen came from the cannula I was using. With Westmed Super Soft I have had a lot of anxiety lifted from me and don't mind wearing it during the day now. I'd recommend this to anyone who uses oxygen.

Was very happy with the cannulas. Only thing that could make them any better is if the nose piece was a little more curved. The ones I get from my oxygen supplier are awful ane when I called them about them they said that was the only kind they carried. I'm glad I found you. Thanks Bev

I have an Inogen one concentrator and loved the cannula that came with it. I have been trying to find a simular one, without success, ever since. This one has a very stiff and hard tube for most of the length (the green part in the picture) that never stops trying to coil up and resists every effort to civilize. The very end that goes in your nose and on your face is very very soft and flexible which would be great if the stiff part wasn't always pulling it around and twisting it. It does take a long time for facial oils to harden it up. If the tube feeding it were a bit softer this would be an excellent product.
